how is htis vs new world

Different in every possible way. They don't share even a single thing in common.

this game will be around for a long time to come ....frequent updates and bug fixes, balancing of characters which does annoy people but is needed for fair play. It is a very large game that may seem daunting to a newcomer, but whats the rush, enjoy the process. google everything and anything you want to know about gw2...also no feeling of gear grind if you set it aside for a bit

"Frequent updates, bug fixes, balancing of characters"
Individually, those things haven't applied for half a decade, and collectively, i don't think that has ever been the case in the game's life.
The game's in the final throes of life. There's still a fair number of players, but let's not pretend the game's flying high right now. Even die-hard players have enacted a backlash against the current dearth of development being sold at full game price to them.

There still isn't. The game would be complicated on a controller with all the ground target skills.

They are doing a new expansion every year now; episodic every 3 months.

This is misleading. It's free to preview in that you play the core game of 2012. After that, you pay for all the expansions and add ons.

WAHAHAHAHA That's debatable. ANet is still looking for people for an unannounced project so don't expect anything even close to HoT nor PoF.

Highly popular still. Growing game. Won't hurt to try.

As a new player I've never spent more than 10 minutes without finding some other player.

There isn't support, but it plays enjoyably on controller using the action cam and a good config.

My partner and I are crossing 2,000h each this month, and that's all on controllers.
