what is NC America? it's ncsoft branch for games published and developed by ncsoft GW2 was the only relevant product NCsoft has for the western market, and they are just the publishers, not the developers so anet and gw2 have their own separate site.
- Speculation but it may be because of what's going on with NCWest. At that same shareholder meeting they discussed that all of NCWest was merged into ArenaNet which evidently was 6 studios and a corporate office, well what was left of them because NCWest has been doing horribly with Guild Wars really being the only successful brand.
So it's possible that this is a rebranding and NCsoft separating their branding from ArenaNet/Guild Wars. Is strange though as they still own the Guild Wars IP. There also is the NCSoft Horizon MMO coming at some point point so maybe this is to make room for that on the site and just offload GW2 to ArenaNet's site. ...

Lineage 1 and Lineage 2 is hardcore korean p2w mmo, you need to spend thousands of dollars worth of lootboxes to be relevant in lineage, koreans and asia love that kind of stuff.
Remember that Lineage is ncsoft most beloved son, their flag ship their biggest sucess and Lineage 2 official has been running for 20 years in western market.
GW2 is the only profitable thing ncsoft has in this part of the world so i think the investors are ok with the game, remove gw2 fron the equation and ncsoft is going to lose the whole western market, what? you think aion or throne and liberty will take gw2 place? not a chance, specially cuz throne and liberty, next big thing from ncsoft is just another korean p2w mmo based on Lineage 2.
NCsoft creates mostly just mmorpgs, it's catalogue is mostly korean p2w cashgrab trash for asian market, gear treadmill and vertical progression, GW2 is the only horizontal mmo they have.
NC West hasn't been in control of Guild Wars for nearly a decade.
NC Soft has already phased out their publishing for western audiences. It's why Throne and Liberty is being published by Amazon Games instead of NCSoft.
Also, TAL is Korean developed game that is being housed in the west by Amazon games instead of NCWEST.
Also, how is NCsoft not in control if they own the IP and can fire 25% of Arenanet's work Force.
Also, if they don't own it how are they posting earnings from it?
That is some weird not owning a thing you earn money from and can fire people that work on it.
you mean aion? blade and soul... you mean... Lineage saga?
this is like saying blizzard didn't develop WoW and overwatch, absolutely mindblowing.
NC West is the western publishing arm of NCsoft. NC West has never owned the IP of anything. They just publish games in the west.
You are confusing NC West (a small part) with NCsoft (the entire company).
What are you both talking about?
NCsoft West developed Guild Wars games, City of Heroes, tabila rasa and wild star. And houses aion, bas, and the lineage games.
The only game their currently running is Guild Wars 2 and an unannounced project a.k.a " Guild Wars 3".
So you are just trolling.
most likely definitely id say absolutely yes, he's confused, ncsoft had ncwest branch to manage games made by korean ncsoft in america just like Aion, Lineage 1 and 2 etc i remember a GM in lineage 2 forums one that used to do the major events, yeah in linaege 2 GM's would spawn creatures and do stuff with the community and the guy in L2 official forum had the L2 GM ncwest title. He belives ncsoft west created gw2 lol and the other korean mmos... ohh well.
I didn't know COH, WS, TR, and GW Korean made but okay. After all, they had the NCSOFT west stamp on them in their promotions.
Yeah CoH was developed my Cryptic Studios in California, and then NCSoft NorCal which was re-branded as Paragon Studios. Also founded in California. Now this past January Homecoming, which ran a private server now runs it under an official license from NCsoft.
Wildstar was developed by Carbine Studios in California a company founded by former Blizzard employees and subsidiary of NCSoft.
Tabula Rasa was developed by Richard Garriott's company Destination Games founded in Austin, Texas and was also a subsidiary of NCSoft.
Guild Wars in all it's incarnations has been developed by ArenaNet in Bellevue, Washington, also a subsidiary of NCsoft.
NCsoft has always been the parent company and the publisher. Although Guild Wars has been picked up by other big companies for publishing internationally in different locales, like Tencent in China and Level Up! Inc. in the Philippines and Brazil.
