Guild Wars 2

Guild Wars 2

DLC issue, Auction House.
Anyone still having an issue where it says they have to upgrade to use the Auction house. I havent submitted a ticket yet because of the last statement they made. I have submitted a ticket, customer service said its an automated process to unlock the trading post, even though In-game it says if you upgrade it will unlock. After making the purchase, clearly still couldnt use it. Seem to be a false advertising issue.

I know the black lion is limited if you are F2P, are you saying you can't use it at all?

No, and i do have the first two expansions hence me referencing it being a DLC issue, that its telling me to upgrade. Even though i already did.
is it recently purchased? Because another post about the trader not being accessible for 5 days after newly upgraded account. :spycon:

Yes a few days ago, but the game said if i upgraded i could use it and it still says that, the banner is gone and its still saying click on the banner and upgrade to use this. I contacted support and they said its all automated and nothing they could do about it, i told them to stop false advertising in game then.

Try looking if all the requirements have been met, it says on their wiki page:

Time requirement
Some content is restricted until sufficient real-world time has passed. The timer starts once a code for an expansion or the core game gets applied to the account.

Three day
Currency Exchange in the Gem store after account creation to combat botting and scams.
All deposits and withdrawals to the Guild Vault after joining a Guild for verified accounts. The time remaining is shown on the Guild Vault display and the entire vault is "grayed out". This timer is reset if you leave and rejoin a guild. It is not affected by either Guild Rank or Vault permissions.
Five day
The trading post limits (ability to buy or sell certain items) are removed 5 days after code application.
Access to the Guild Vault regardless of Guild Rank will become available 5 days after code application.
Seven day
There is a restriction of 500 Gold coin per week on the total amount any account may receive from a Guild Vault or via in-game mail. If this is exceeded using the Guild Vault then the "withdraw" button is "greyed out". If exceeded using in-game mail then when you hover over the "Take All" button", you may see:

This would exceed the value allowed to be received by this account this week. Each account can only receive 5,000,000 coins per week through in-game mail or the Guild Vault. Please wait and try again later.

— In-game message

First month
The first 30 days following creation, a new account is limited as follows:

Amount of coin or item with assigned value that can be mailed. However, any amount can be received.
Value of items both deposited into and withdrawn from a Guild Vault.
The amount you are allowed increases by approximately one gold every 10 hours. The exact amount of the coin limit is determined by the level of the highest level character of the account. When this amount is exceeded, the error message that appears is:

This transfer would exceed the total value of transfers allowed for new accounts. As you continue to play, your account will be allowed to transfer higher values. New account limits are necessary to protect your online experience from fraud and illegal trading. We apologize for the temporary inconvenience.

— In-game message

Anomalies:
An unlimited amount of items that have no assigned value can be transferred by new accounts regardless of their price on the Trading Post.
Multiple small amounts of gold can be transferred by new accounts even though equivalent large, single transfers are blocked.

From what I remember, it takes like 5 or so days to upgrade from a free2play to a regular account and during that time you do not have access to the market. This is just a protection from bots to ensure that they have enough time to check that you do indeed have a legit account that was bought with your own and real money. So just wait a few more days and everything should be fine.

Yeah at this point its just a false advertising issue. I have screen shots of it saying upgrade and you can use this feature now. Then you upgrade and it still says the same thing. The wait time says if its not an upgraded account you have to wait. But that isnt the case. They need to remove that from in the game.

It's their official Wiki, they themselves run and administer it, and it can be launched directly from the game from chat with the /wiki command, hence why I suggested cross referencing if all the requirements have been met, because then it would point to potential issues rather than speculations

With no desire to be rude, I do think the question has been at least mostly answered here and recently. Congrats on first 2 expacs bc they are my favorite. They seem to take spam / bots quite seriously in their in-game markets. Bc of this, there is lockout timers. The wiki is a decent resource that can be accessed thru the chat. All good advice. I got hit with the steam outage recently, but my market is open and active still as of right now.

It hasnt been answered as to why it is says in game if you upgrade you can use the feature and when you do, it still doesnt let you and it continues to tell you to upgrade. It should just say this feature is locked out until this time. Which it does, but it gives you the option to upgrade to use the feature. Is that clear as to what the issue is? And i think i answered my own question after contacting them and its just false advertising.

I actually had bought it the day the DLC issue was happening without knowing that was going on, what a great first day to experience my first purchase.

Its reaching. And you are getting nowhere. All this could have been avoided if you read the FAQ on the page and wiki.

The Wiki doesnt matter if in-game its telling you something else...dont you think both should say the same thing..
