AYYYE FREE GEMS!

Looks like Steam players are being rewarded 800 gems for the recent issues.

How did you guys obtain them exactly? All I got in my mail was "owning" the expansions I bought again but no mention on gems.

Yeah not sure how the compensation is implemented, the post says later today so you're gonna assume its....later, but some gw2steam user already got theirs...so i guess we're past that "later today" mark.

maybe delays? take time to arrive? if you still haven't gotten it....might want to check it with the support.

Yes greyhawk. Its only for steam players. I can confirm this since me and 3 friends were doing the new year events when the bug cropped up.

My main account isn't a steam account and I wasn't effected by the bug at all. Pretty sure it was the same for everyone else playing the game purely through the guild wars 2 client without steam. So it makes sense we don't get 800 free gems. We didn't have to wait for trading post access.
