Guild Wars 2

Am i so weak that i cant do a story boss?
Hey i didnt play in a long time and i wanted to finish HEarth of Thorns, im at where i think is the endboss going into the dream. I have to Fight the Bow Woman with a wolf and im suppose to beat the wolf so she comes in meele and i can attack her, but i do basically no damage to her and she just gets up after 3 seconds and teleport away. Am i missing something?

What is your character build?
Im a warrior with Duall Axes, and i dont remeber much else. Never did endgame and only ever quested and did events
But i never ran into a story boss where i just did so little damage
Ok, hopefully a warrior expert can show up here and help you.

Is your gear level 80?
Is it all orange? Green bad, yellow bad, orange good, pink best.
Its mostly Orange, its all from quest and the Main Story.
Are you using a build from here?
https://metabattle.com/wiki/Warrior
Or one that you made up? Have you done a DPS check on the golem?
You said axe axe so I assume this build? https://metabattle.com/wiki/Build:Warrior_-_Core_Power_Warrior

go to metabattle.com search your class search for power dps build and buy the named item set for cheap
you are a warrior so you buy Devona's armor set for a few pennies

Step 1: Level 80. All slots filled. All orange. Really easy to achieve.
Step 2: buy a cheap set of superior runes. Even Rune of Strength for 5s a piece is gonna make you a lot stronger.
Step 3: you're done. You can follow an online build, but it's not necessary. To get the best out of things, make sure all that gear is stats you can use. There is no point in having "some healing power", or "some condition damage". You go all in: the game doesn't bother with fine tuned balance, it's as simple as "this skill uses 4% of this stat, this skill uses 6% of this stat". So having, say, 400 healing power is gonna equate to...about +16 health when you use your heal skill. Whereas damage skills are often more like *1.0 or *2.5 your power, where +400 power would = 400 - 1000 extra damage.

means the one you can spawn in in the Special Forces Training Area[wiki.guildwars2.com] next to the Lion's Arch Aerodrome.

Don't test your PvE dps in the Heart of the Mists (PvP lobby)'s training area, since PvE skills can vary quite a lot from competitive ones, especially numbers, but even sometimes functionality.

It is best to use suggested builds first. Once you have a better grasp over the class, you can easily homebrew personal builds or alter existing suggested builds for personal tastes. Websites like Metabattle, GuildJen, HardStuck, and SnowCrows offer great builds to start with. All of them include gear, suggested sigils and runes, and how to use its skill rotation to maximize the build. Some of them include alternate setups and list the trade-offs.

Feel free to post questions about builds here. Especially if you need an alternate rune or sigi or something cheaper
