Just Stop.
Side support a healer doesn't make.
Look at my builds look at the druid one.
You hate the fact that druid can constantly dish out heals and think it is dumb despite the fact that the moment a druid stops or any other support stops healing, it spells death for the group. DPS isn't going to wait and will take full advantage if you're slow.
So it boils down to pace. You can't keep up and prefer a slower combat style. That's fine, it just means Guild Wars 2 isn't for you. It doesn't mean it is awful or bad, it just simply means it isn't for you.
Just stop.
If you look at my builds not only they aren't slow , they also are complex and are focused on healing and increasing the output of healing.
Running around like a headless chicken a fast combat doesn't make.
Chaotic maybe but not fast.
Druid staff 3 and 5 do zero damage. Warhorn 5 also does zero damage. Mace 3 does a whopping 4 damage. Frost spirit utility skill, protect me utility skill, and the elite skill glyph of the stars do zero damage. Celestial Avatar skills 1-4 do zero damage. The other skills that can deal damage only do a around 100-200 damage. Compared to enemies that will have over 18K health on average for players (and more so depending the rank of PvE enemies).
Yeah... safe assumption you have no idea what you're talking about.
Edit: there are a lot of utility skills that just do not do any damage that are useful for support. Same with many weapons across multiple classes.
That much is obvious. Anyone who has played GW2 knows druid is all about support. It can be spec'd for DPS but is very niche and isn't as powerful as SoulBeast.
So... a build that mostly uses skills with zero damage isn't a "main damage side healer" build.
The fact I gotta state the obvious....
from 2 weapon skills and 1 weapon utility skills, Celestial Avatar that becomes more powerful from damage dealing, and utility skills you make a healer out of.
The role of the healer is to focus on healing not be forced in damage dealing.
Also , utility skills tend to be like that.
And , yes , you don't have a trinity because you're all damage dealers with basic support skills that benefit and are triggered from and by damage dealing.
Staff 1 can damage, but since you heal its damage is nearly non existent. So you beam allies with it exclusively. Same with staff skills 2 and 4. Mace 1 is useless for the same reasons. Mace 2 does damage but also heals. Use it for heals. Mace 3 is for CC. Warhorn 4 is useless for damage only for the Warhorn trait to heal and grant regen. Warhorn 5 is useful for CC, blast, and boons. All utility skills equipped essentially do zero damage and are meant for support. All Celestial Avatar skills (the exclusive ability of a druid) do zero damage besides the 5th which again pointless for damage and instead useful for its support if used at all (tends not to be due to requiring you to hold still to fully cast).
So again, most of its skills do no damage which means only 1 thing. It is designed for support.
It doesn't benefit from any damage. It isn't for damage at all. It doesn't do any lifestealing.
Utility is Utility.
Just stop.
Look at your rotation and look how majority of it is basic heal spamming at best and worse you're forced to do damage to have better benefits.
Look at my builds and see how it's a little to non is damage dealing or heal spamming.
Its not about how much , but what you do.
By your standards the WoW retribution paladin is a healer.
