This, exactly this!
Once I've lowered the character model limit, never had any issues with frame drops after that
Try doing one of those events where you get fps drops but now with character model limit at medium or low you'll see the difference immediatly.

I hard limit to 60fps its all my monitor can show so I see no point creating frames that wont matter but even in crowds it maintains the framerete
Thank you so much !
You too Q.
Tested in Dragonstorm, this did the trick.
welll you said this but everyone knows its rubbish.
..AH armygui! still
good for you
But you never played the game...
And your coding skill is like your steam level : 0
thats why some of us suspect they are the same 2-3 guys with alt accounts, checkin user post history reveals nothing but "gw2 is bad" like, literally, they don't post anywhere else just here, maybe they visit another forum every now and then but 90% of the time is just gw2 forum, like hardwaenze whatever, dude hasn't posted anything in a different forums he just waiting to be allowed to post here again, imagine that being your only hobby on steam community, absolutely mindblowing.
I don't really mind, I just know that it's an older game with an older Engine (a heavily modified version of the 2005 Guild Wars 1 Engine) that is incapable of being optimized more at this point in it's life cycle.
I play Throne and Liberty also, NCSoft stopped using their proprietary Guild Wars Engine and used Unreal 4 instead.
It has amazing graphics and great performance. My FPS is great with large scale PvP, but it's not as fun as Guild Wars 2 and the combat is a more traditional Tab Targeting.
What is more surprising, is that armyguy started to trash Gw2 steam forum on his very release date :
Despite having his profile set to private, posts history aren't and are freely available to everyone :
https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198115817393/posthistory/?p=1
He started in August 17 2023, forum being created a little bit before the official steam release (August 23, 2022)
He exclusively made an account on steam (0 steam level, 0 games on his list) with the only goal to spread lie / misinformation / trashing / trolling the game.
He isn't expressing his opinion at this point, but using the "freedom of expression" that steam offer to manipulate and lie.
Steam can safely ban this guy.
Yeah, this is a complete and total lie.
