Sorry but Guild Wars 2 is one of the best , more populated and friendly MMO atm

I came here and was amazed at the incredible amount of lies that are being told about this game.
Grinding, dead servers, worst free to try mmo, toxic community, no gold income ...

- It's totally the opposite ! -

I understand that the announcement of the expansion and the recent surge in GW2 players must have angered other MMO players, but there is a limit to the lies.

I'm not here to say how awesome this game is, feel free to try and judge for yourself.
The game is free to try (full core game is totally free), has dedicated player guides for EVERY achievement in the game.
There is no need to install any launcher, no anti-cheat system, etc.
it's just an Exe that manages the game and updates. (it's like a portable app and stores some settings files only in X: \ Users \ YourPCName \ AppData \ Roaming \ Guild Wars 2)

If this game was almost dead Anet would have been in a hurry to release it on Steam already

I often wonder how this game would have turned out, had they gone the vertical gear progression route, as that seems to be the biggest gripe....granted i HATE sweaty pve endgame, and have no clue why i do it in all mmorpgs....so its actually nice to just not worry about that and deal with completionist tasks, events, and SPVP/WvW which really breaks up the pve nice.

Its just such a well made game, its possibly the most under rated MMORPG out right now.

Also the more i think of this the more its an undervalued thing....their servers NEVER go down, like ever, you relog to patch instead of waiting half a day for the server to go up. Never any issues in game either...its a well made game....though ive heard low end systems struggle due to Dx9 only, which is getting fixed like next month. Modern GPU wont sweat even in larger WvW.

The doesn't install a viral anti cheat needs highlighting. Seriously you don't even need admin rights to run the game. It's actually properly programmed.

It will come in February next year if the planned release holds.

It may release sooner than that though. We dont know, it was shelved due to technical difficulties they were facing at the time, which have since been fixed

Yep, GW2 was way ahead of its time and is still fantastic.. I'm not sure where the Steam community's vendetta for this game came from.

Not that it matters, no relatively intelligent person takes Steam user reviews and community discussions seriously. It's just like any other modern day internet community of sheep, be it Rotten Tomatoes, Metacritic, or even Reddit really - it's "cool" to like and dislike certain things, and people's biased minds are made up about something before they even give it a fair chance. All that matters to these sad and lonely malcontents are those virtual head pats from everyone in their echo chamber.
