There will be no Guild Wars 3. The card game, and niche singleplayer titles is the future of Anet.
As of late, i am noticing a lot of cope, people are literally telling themselves that GW3 will save GW2 from its miserable state. With what kind of budget, and talent do you expect this to happen? With how they've butchered and messed up the marketing for GW2 for literally 13 years straight, why would NCSoft fund them to create the most difficult to develop genre there is, an mmo?

Stop the cope.

What you're currently playing, is all there is, and will be by 2030. Anet is too tiny of a developer to be making a massive title. The card game that is being released this year is the kind of low effort, low budget titles we can expect from Anet. This game will die within a month (sub 200 players on steam). The game that will be released after, is most certainly a singleplayer game in the GW2 universe, a low budget title that will go completely under the radar of everyone but those who still play the now 13 years old GW2.

Anet's main purpose for the next decade will be supporting P2W Korean mmo's under the NCSoft wing. The days of Anet developing $100M+ games are over.

Please get used to what's on offer, and don't complain when most future expansion patches get delayed.

The only way i see this being true is if NCSoft Korean studios are doing the work, not Anet. Anet is incapable of supporting one old game, forget developing multiple projects. There's a reason why everything they were doing in the background was cancelled, they don't have the talent for big projects anymore.

I am in charge of spreading reality to those stuck playing the same game for 13 years of their life. Doing it for free (imagine that. wasting my time on something like this should get me paid at least $30/h). And don't you worry, this is just the beginning. Wow the furry is not happy to hear the actual state of the developer. This is the issue with this community, you close your eyes on the issues, and hope it disappears. This is how you got the game to its current heavily recycled, low effort state. Be proud, you achieved what you wanted.
