Janthir expansion question

Hello, I tried googling it and asking in map chat but I’ve gotten a few different answers. If I get the expansion do I get an extra character slot or was that only if you get the preordered deluxe package? I’m tired of deleting a character every 20 levels cause I see something that looks cooler xD

Only in the deluxe edition is an extra Charakter slot. Preorder does not matter.
You can get the Janthir Wilds—Deluxe Upgrade for 2400 gems. Its worth it, if you want he gathering Tools.
If you are on a Free Account any expansion will get you from 2 up to 5 chartacter slots.

Thanks for the answer! I got all the other expansions on a bungle so I have 5 slots but I’m in need of more haha. I didn’t know I could get it in the gem store, I was only looking on the steam page. I’ll check it out!

I don't remember if Steam users can still buy the Deluxe Edition ingame, but if they can then that would be a way to get an extra char slot. Though the usual way to increase your char slots would be the char slot expansion for 800 gems in the gem store, which are worth 10$€, or you could also convert 400 gold to 800 gems. Or wait for a discount as it regularly gets discounted by 20%. Also, it seems like the current char slot limit is 69.

yea im looking right now, looks like I cant as a steam user. I want the expansion and another slot but if im looking to do one i might as well go for the expansion. Im no where near the gold requirement haha.

As a non Steam user I did have the ability to buy the Deluxe edition of the Janthir expansion in the gem store (for real money, not gems) but that was before its release, so I don't know if this option still exists, but I would have at least guesses that it used to exist even for Steam users.

yea, looking like its not for steam users atm. Ill go back to deleting my hunter for the third time to make an elementalist, Its calling me xD. Ill use real money on the expansion when the time comes. Thanks for the reply <3

Just so you know, with any freshly created character, after you've got out of the initial training instance (so at lv2), you can click a button with two crossed swords in the menu at the top of your screen, and click Transfer to PvP lobby button. There you'll immediately have access to this charcater's fully-leveled form (80lv of base profession + all elite specs fully developed too, if you've bought the DLCs in which they are introduced). Then you'll be able to play with it on this map, it has multiple training targets, both stationary and actual AI NPCs that will beat the crap out of you.

Some skills work differently there, as the map uses PvP balance tweaks, but in general it's enough to see how each profession plays without wasting a lot of your time

I checked the gem store and I couldn’t see the option where they had the deluxe edition for sale. I saw the expansion for sale for $24.99 but I think that’s the regular edition? I’m not too sure

I checked the gem store and I couldn’t see the option where they had the deluxe edition for sale. I saw the expansion for sale for $24.99 but I think that’s the regular edition? I’m not too sure

The Janthir Deluxe Upgrade is an upgrade for the Janthir expansion, so if you do not own Janthir you obviously can't upgrade it.
