That is like your nickname : Unlikely
Despite not understanding what you said, I never in my 3600 hours of game time encounter the single racism comment IG, if that happen, hit a report on the player.
GW2 has the kind of community that will spend 3+ pages on a forum thread s**tbagging a player who they deem less skilled than they are, and if said player points out their toxicity the forum moderators ban you. This happened to me on their official forums several times until I gave up on this game and it's players entirely.
You can't criticise anything about this game without being bullied. In one particular case, I mentioned that boss mobs had too much health for solo players and take too much time to kill. Apparently this is apprehensible to not only the GW2 community, but even it's moderators who always side with the sycophants.
I'd be banned for 1 week on the official forums for making this thread. They filter anyone who stands up to the bullies while allowing them to run amok. The lead up to the recent expansion was especially egregious when the forum moderators were working overtime to snuff out any and all skepticism or criticism for the game.
GW2 is actually a fun game in my opinion but it is absolutely ruined by it's elitist toxic players. The irony is they call themselves "The Friendliest MMO community" which is a joke, because it's a slogan that is at least 10+ years out-of-date. All the good natured players already left this game a long time ago and all that's left are the scum. different topic same crap
Please be specific, you are shutting from everyplace ?
Which one ? For what reason ? What happen ?
Edit : Your last post before the quote is unnecessary/unrelated to your complain and is copy/paste from another topic.
I am not scum. Scum floats to the top, whilst I fester on the bottom.
dude has posted like 10 times in 4 years, suddenly he appears here to complaint about toxic community, idk rick, this is very sus
i paste it because it's very tightly connected to the matter in hand, how things are worked silencing them no questions asked, or maybe they are and it's why it happens so fast.. i rather put this out instead of shutting myself down and make people aware.
Ok.
Can you tell us with more details what happen to you, you said being shutting from every place.
What do you mean ? Which place ? For what reason ? What happen ?
Report and move on.
Do not confront people. Do not "stand up" to them. Do not attempt to put them in their place. Do not attempt to correct them. Do not inform them of the rules. Do not engage them at all.
Report and move on.
This is how it works in all games and forums.
"But he said..."
It does not matter. Trolls play these games everywhere. They get you to react, then report you. Now anything you do looks like you are just retaliating.
well yea you are right and wrong at same time, something needs to be done to stop this limbo. I may come little strong on this matter.. maybe being little more careful in future wouldn't hurt.
It's just how this works.
If they allowed people to respond to trolls, the entire situation gets messy and out of control, forcing them to issue even more bans than they otherwise would have. Trolls are only in it to rile people up and the more people they can rile up, the more they "win".
That said, I still engage from time to time if I feel like moderators are not doing their job as a way of getting the troll more chances to be reported. No matter how much I play by the rules, I still risk a ban doing it and I am fully prepared for those consequences.
