Until you reach lvl 80 and get an expansion, your builds will be called "leveling" or "core" builds. If you look for videos or websites for builds it can be a bit confusing because most/all of the "meta" builds use elite traits that are only available with the expansions at level 80 (after some work).

Given the robust achievement system in GW2 I find it hard to fathom what Steam could add to it. There are literally hundreds of achievements in the game and all come with some form of in-game reward (some quite good!).
