Crafting Disciplines: Which are best if any?
Curious if there are some crafting disciplines I should be focusing on more than another.

Currently the only one I've leveled to 500 is Weaponsmith cuz that one just made sense, and I was gonna do Armorsmith next, I just wasn't sure if some are more useful than others in the grand scheme of things, or if all of them are equally useful/profitable in the end game.

Usually none of them is really profitable, you mostly craft for your own items. Which is why you should focus on the ones that can craft the type of gear your character can wear. Like for the 3 heavy classes an armorsmith. And the jeweler is in general a rather bad one, since it only can get up to lvl 400 and ascended trinkets are pretty easy to get. But yeah, simply take the professions that help you crafting ascended gear for your character. There are a few items that can only be crafted once per day with which you sometimes can make a little bit of profits, but in general it's really mostly for personal use.

Aha I see. So leveling Weaponsmith first was a great choice lmao, wonderful! Thank you for saving me some very valuable time (and gold)

So Scribe, Jeweler, and Chef are kinda meh?

Scribe is only for guild hall items. So not really something you do on your own. The chef can make ascended food, which is better than every other type of food. But it is quite expensive to make and you don't personally eat it but place it on the ground, so everyone can eat it. So only a single person in the group/squad needs to place one, so totally not something you have to make on your own early on. Ascended equipment is surely a higher priority and non ascended food is enough for you most of the time. And Jeweler really is just meh.

Though if you want to eventually make legendary equipment you might still need some more of them, including jeweler, since they might be neded to make one or two items.

Btw, if you want to level your profession, maybe try to stack many crafting EXP multipliers and try to do all the leveling in a short amount of time, so one booster is enough. And if you can't do that, at least get the guild buff for it, most guilds should have it available, so just go to the food guy in the guildhall who gives you the guild buffs and choose the crafting one.

Ya I've been using booster in combination with gw2crafts, I got Weaponsmith to 500 in like an hour and a half ish, leveling is definitely *not* a problem.

But also good to know. I guess I will eventually get to 500 but, I just won't rush em all in one sitting like I did Weaponsmith
