selling the bags is way more profitable unless you like to gamble then open them

I always open the bags.
Make sure you get max boons and open them IN the lab.

You get a lot of crap (pun not intended) like toilet paper and rotten eggs and tonics which I just delete.

But candy corn is pretty useful for some crafting recipes or you can turn 1000 into Candy Corn Cob which sells for 4 gold.

The other material like skulls, nougat etc can also be used in recipes but not worth as much.

Not sure about the rest of the stuff you can trade in for Cand Corn Cob and other itesm which are really useful.

I'd just sell what you can before the event is over its still a huge huge profit compared to opening them

Always does, if you're patient you can wait a few months after Halloween and sell them at higher prices, but that's also a gamble since you can be sure they'll sell well or fast.

If quick gold is your desire then just sell the bags as soon as you get a stack of them, always list them though don't sell instantly.

Ideally you want to be doing stuff like this though.
As well as your dailies, weeklies and maximising your Astral Acclaim income for more gold.

Small things, every day that earn you reasonable amounts of coin.
You'll be surprised how much and how quickly it seems to add up.

Which bags are you talking about, the candy bags or trick-and-treat?

It's also worth noting that in the time I've been playing this game thus far, the acquisition rate of those permanent luck(mf) tokens is orders of magnitude faster than anything else I've come across if you are opening the bags. This is a self-reinforcing loop as this will actually increase the rate at which you get the trick bags in the first place.

Or save them for crafting the gift you need for legendary in SoTO

Gift of research.

A truly horrible thing. It needs a ton of those research notes. One of the worst things Anet ever added to the game.

Any recipes or other stuff you can get from halloween vendors which are worth it?

There are some food receipes and potion recipes which are nice but even if useful (like sharpening skull) they sell for less than resources used (probably becuase of the amount of candy coorn required, 75)

Also is there anything worth using skull/fangs/nougat (at least this one is usedf in recipes) for? Not even the improved versions (which you get by trading 1000) are worth much.
