I'm on Europe myself. :/
Although, I must say that the separation between American and European servers could be more prominent in the initial world selection stream, whereas the world selection itself should have a note stating that it doesn't matter anymore.
The very first story instance at level 40 kicks off the dungeon storyline that runs parallel to the personal story (green stars), but I also consider it part of the base game story.
For story mode dungeons, you definitely want one other player. I think two players is just about the sweet spot. Soloing those is quite hard, and going in with more than three makes them trivial and boring, especially if the others are maxed-out characters.
I'm dropping you the text I usually paste, nevermind the repetitions:
There are eight dungeons in the base game. Each of them has a story mode (which upon completion unlocks the harder explorable mode with multiple paths).
The story mode dungeons tell a storyline that runs parallel to your personal story. Narratively, it is kicked off by the first story instance on level 40 ("Setting the Stage")
and concludes with the last mission of the core game's personal story, which was formerly the last dungeon's story mode. Thus, finishing the personal story before the other story mode dungeons will somewhat spoil that storyline's conclusion.
After completing the first story instance on lvl 40 (meeting of Destiny's Edge in Lion's Arch):
• Ascalon Catacombs
• Caudecus' Manor
• Twilight Arbor.
During or after the level 50 story:
• Sorrow's Embrace
After finishing the level 60 story:
• Honor of the Waves
• Citadel of Flame
• Crucible of Eternity (best right at the beginning of the level 70 story)
… before beginning the level 80 story.
I usually refer players to a Reddit comment for more details on how to time their story dungeon runs: https://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/x43fmk/comment/imu2mmb/
Hello I am an active player, I like doing dungeons, fractals, WvW, world bossing etc. I play during NA off-hours. I am not adverse to voice chat through something like Steam but I will not install Discord on my devices. If you are interested my in game ID is Zakalashnikov.3906.
See you out there maybe.
Oh, I will gladly discuss the virtues of friendship and maybe lament how the term has been tainted by things like Facebook.
Seneca's take on the matter resonated strongly with me:
Certainly OP wouldn't want a friend only for selfish reasons, as Seneca cautions against:
But if you talk down on someone for looking for friendship in a social game, my judgement of you has been passed and I'm afraid, we're not going to be friends.
So someone you become friends with online isn't a real friend? One of my friends, who I met on a game, is a pretty great friend. And looking through some of your posts in other discussions just goes to show you're a pessimistic person with no personality.
On another note. If anyone wants to play anytime, my discord name is aksunaigaming and I play on ferguson crossing. Always looking for more people to have fun on the game with.
