Maybe not the Raptor but it's definitely better than Springer if it can spam jump and faster than Skyscale when it comes to Vertical jumping.
It has 3 jumps total but incredibly fast stamina regen so you can just hop hop hop hop hop remaining airborne with it for what seems to be a good while.. possibly permanently so long as nothing gets in your way.. and it just looks utterly stupid XD
Reminds me of that flappy bird game honestly.. hell I wouldn't be surprised if people start making flappy warclaw obstacle courses in their homestead to mess about with it.
Not sure if you can spam jump for additional height though but if you can then it'll be able to jump very high very quick.. greater than Springer most likely and faster than Skyscale.
You can see it in action in this video.

5:59 is the part you see it in excess if you don't want anything else spoiled for you.
Player is doing it in Divinity's Reach as well so you won't see the new maps.
I'd love to check that but I haven't been able to log into the forums in like 4 years now XD
There's something wrong with the forum's login system, and it's not just me, i've seen plenty of others talking about it elsewhere that all they get is "something went wrong" every time they've tried to get on there, which is the same for me.
Chances are that's a big reason why the forums have gone so quiet over the last few years.. people can't get on the damn thing lol
It's pretty easy to get banned if you don't follow the mob mentality. It's super toxic there.
They've already said that the prepurchase numbers exceded those of SoTo, and those were pretty good in themselves, so I don't think they're worried about that
As for the more silent forums, someone pointed out on another thread, it's literally the middle of summer and people are on vacations and more outdoors, it's the same for most games to see a decrease in activity during this time in august, nothing really unusual
I've never really had issues with that, I was very active on it for many years and only got a couple days ban once because some unpleasant individual slandered some of my countries cultural norms as "toxic" and "abusive"..
Far as I know that individual also got a time out as well though and from what I remember of them they had a tendency to pick fights and argue with people all the time.
It was never a mob mentality back then but since i've not been on it in years I guess it could have developed into one.. I've certainly seen that happen with other online spaces.
I'm surprised so many are ready to forgive SoTO so quickly and reward it again.
Tbh i'm not.
SoTo was the first mini expansion so I guess a lot of us expected some things to not go quite right.
Long time players will remember various issues with living world etc caused by Anet trying new things and not quite being in the right gear to fully know what they're capable of doing with this new game model.
You could say SoTo was a practice run for this new mini expansion concept so expectations are going to be higher for the rest going forward.
Wilds is already looking like quite the improvement tbh but we'll have to wait and see.
The homesteadding has gotten a lot of people excited though, lot of people been wanting that feature for a very long time so that's a big factor as well.
For me though i'm keen on the story and lore, Titan's are a big deal for me and i'm very curious to see how they story is laid out in Wilds, and whether or not it crashes and burns in the second half when that releases in parts over the next year.. kinda like Soto did.
I'm hoping they'll do it significantly better this time around having learned from the mistakes they made with SoTo.
I understand your point, but I genuinely don't think that I'm rewarding anything by prepurchasing. The next expansion would be coming out either way because SoTo sold well, and people who play the game, especially the ones who play for a longer time now, will get the expansions either way, even if the previous one was maybe a bit subpar.
And you say "forgive", but tbh while I admit that SotO wasn't really the best and had some issues, I think people really are over-hating on it a bit. Might not have been the best of expansions, but I honestly did enjoy it in the past year. Plus it was super cheap for only 25 bucks and I've got at least like 500 hours of playtime out of SoTo. Like, you can't really get much for 25 bucks these days in general, so I think that I've got more than plenty for my money's worth with SotO.
And, let's be real here, it's obvious for a while now that GW2 is a side project while they seem to be working on GW3 as their main project, and many of the "leaks" seem to suggest the same and confirm it, so the smaller scope and slower pace of the expansions is quite understandable. I think they made a good decisions, because even content that isn't super ultra mega good and kinnda mid is still better than a total lack of new content in GW2 if they had just completely shifted to working on GW3 without giving yearly content for GW2
Idk, I just feel that Guild Wars as a whole is in a pretty good spot right now, but I also do understand why some people might get upset about some of their decisions, and that's okay
Only costs slightly more than a single mount skin. We just have to accept the game is a yearly subscription now. a $3 a month subscription that auto ends at the end of the year.
Eh not really.. a subscription would generally but not always imply you have your account stolen back if you stop paying for it.. Gw2 doesn't do that.
Triforge, later renamed to ArenaNet were founded on creating games that oppose that disgusting, anti consumer practice that has been killing MMO's for decades.
As for those mount skins.. i'm assuming you mean the "premium" ones..
Yeah just don't, they are absurdly overpriced and not worth it.
If you really want them then ransack your material stores etc and convert as much gold as you can into gems to buy them, that's what I did to pick up a couple of them.
They are not worth the full cash to gem price, no cosmetic skin is worth that much money.
And yeah the price difference between a single mount skin like that and a full blown expansion really puts that in perspective doesn't it.
As Teratus pointed out, it technically doesn't end because you won't get locked out of your account at the end of it like in other mmos, and honestly, even if you were, $3 a month sure beats the $14.99 a month in WoW or FFXIV, where you'd still be required to pay for an expansion on top of the subscription as well. And as you said, for you in Canadian dollars it would probably be even more maybe
That's why I said above that in GW2 even if it ends up being a bit of a subpar expansion, it's still really easy to get your money's worth out of this game compared to most other things on the market rn :)
I have seen some random stuff about it jumping on air.
I currently use the dismount trick with the rabbit to deploy a glider. Is there a way to get a higher starting point for the glider with the Warclaw?
Possibly, but it would be way slower than the rabbit, because you'd need several jumps on the Warclaw to get higher.
It will have an air jump like the mount in Elden Ring does for example, and some people have shown that with enough energy recovery it's possible to jump up several times
