Report a translation problem
1. Corrupted data cache. On windows hit Win+R to open a window. Then type %temp% to open the temp file. Locate the gw2 cache file named gw2cache(random letters and numbers). Delete it. Then run gw2 to create a new cache file.
2. Graphics settings. It could be set too high or you have several programs running different graphic settings. Yes, those can cause crashes. If you have multiple programs that can control a game's graphic settings, be sure to fix it to application controlled. (do not worry about this solution if this doesn't apply)
3. Out of date addons. If you use Addons like ArcDPS, it can cause crashes if out of date. Regularly update addons to prevent crashes. And if no update is available, disable your addon until an update is available.
so it seems it was the cache issue. deleting it and running now lets the launcher continue to download the remaining 103k files.
