But, Elementalist for sure, big boom big better.
electrocuting hostiles left and right could be fun
Same for Warrior, I also like that Warrior is getting a new Pure Range weapon as it's options in this field have long been quite limited for the so called "master of weapons" class.
But the one i'm mostly looking forward to is the Ranger.
This hybrid Range/Melee weapon is something i've long wanted to see in Gw2 and I do hope Anet retroactively go back and add this capability to some of the older game weapons like Necro Axe, Ranger MH Axe, Mesmer GS etc.
I do like some of the visual effects too like Guardians and Necromancers Spear skills so overall i'm quite liking spear for a lot of professions atm.
That said though I am still disappointed that it's only Spear this time.
I would have loved to see Trident coming to land as well and having some classes get Spear and others getting Trident.
It would have at least mixed it up a little bit but no matter.
What I mainly hope for now that they've officially introduced a way for weapons to transcend their specified terrain mode, is to see some of the land weapons become usable underwater in the near future.
I've said for years that this is the best way for Anet to greatly expand the depressingly limiting build diversity issue that underwater content has.
Which is one of the biggest issues holding Underwater content back from reaching it's potential.
Gw2 has one of the best underwater system in any game, especially in the MMO sphere.
And it's a crying shame that it's been so horribly underutilised and neglected for all these years.
More weapons per class becoming available there would drastically improve this and open the door for something a lot of fans have been wanting for a very long time.
A largely underwater themed expansion pack.. and there's certainly some very interesting themes, concepts and story lore to be explored in such an expansion.
I cannot WAIT to try the new suicide gameplay with my ELE alt.
So far only my Firebrand main got away relatively unscathed,
as you can still see the red rings of death with his spear.
Monk being an original class too was probably the bigger loss.
I was hoping when Elite Specs first came in that they may return in that form but sadly that never happened.
That's one of the better things about Gw2, you can play however you want and succeed, though some groups will be far less likely to want you around if you're unwilling to play how they want you too.
It's up to you in that case to decide if you want to play with people like that.
Ele spear is a glass cannon without the cannon. And it only works for weaver.
Warrior spear is worse than warrior rifle... which shouldn't be possible.
Thief spear is fun and has a nice flow.
Mesmer spear is pretty and fun. Fits both chrono and mirage too.
the point is exactly to figure out what is OP and what's useless
