Can we (GW2 Steam users) run alt accounts. If the answer is yes, how?

Nover done this (never felt the need, honestly) if I do that, I only need one installation instance of GW2, right?
AS opposed to creating an anet account and running that independently. Correct?

Thankx, but that's not my intention at all, I don't plan to run 2 accounts simultaneously. I'm just considering using a second account so I can play with my 2 wvw guilds when world restructuring comes. At different days and timeframes.

you prolly will need multiple steam accounts

Just make accounts outside setam on arena net website

Still a hassle, but better than using multiple steam accounts still I guess

The thing is: when WvW world restructuring comes my 2 wvw guilds will (most probably) end up in different "servers" I can choose to go with one or the other, but that is a decission for all my account for a whole month.
So no, just changing character won't do.

I could had give you a shorter answer such as "A player may own and operate several accounts", but to make it simple it you or the other peeps wanna do the dual or multi boxing, I dont need to reply again. XD
