But this is actually normal for gw2. It's why I always wait a week before bothering whatever new release was added. They don't test very well. Makes sense, they have no way to test connecting 50+ people into the same match run on a remote server and see if everything works.
So whenever they fix something they break something totally unrelated because the same block of code was duplicated with slight changes in every map.
But yeah, sure, i'm sure it's this DEI stuff. Good one.
There, happy now?
Kidding aside this is the state of the WHOLE frikken industry now!
So if you can point out another MMO with highly competent non-pronouned/toxic hair colored DEVS and a perfect Q&A department, we're all listening.
At least they eventually fix it, like they did today.
I don't know if that counts as an MMO, but Warframe team seems fairly competent, both in actual gamedev and PR.
At this point it feels like one of those gofundme scams with fake sob stories laid out to maybe catch a few dollars of an unaware good soul once in a while.
I recently re-played the vanilla story on a new character and the disconnect-after-unskippable-cutscene bug (most prominent in Orr) is still in the game, posts about this bug can be traced back to as early as 2012, they never actually gone back to fix this in 10+ years, they rather tell people to fix their computers and connections, tells you everything what to expect from Arena Net.
Even new players are starting to question the emptiness of the game including the ghost town LFG pages. They are met with the usual brainwashing "groups fill fast" even though the player said no groups even popped up no matter what time they logged on to the NA server.
They told them things such as "You blinked and missed it", "You weren't fast enough", "People are at work, sleep, holiday, hospital, airport etc. of course they can't play". Funny how that works only here but doesn't apply to bigger mmos that are full of players all day? Those excuses are falling flat, fast. 3-4k players on Steam gives you an idea how small the game is compared to games like FFXIV and ESO.
It's not a coincidence we don't see these cheap tricks in the likes of WoW, FFXIV, ESO or BDO because there is literally no need.
Stop trying to deceive new players, game is abandoned and barely anyone plays. If you feel bad you are stuck with SoTo for a year, having nothing to do in the game and months and months of content droughts, that's not something you should be dumping on a new player.
you said this in January, that was a month and few weeks ago ----->
This is the definition of Irony lol
