They do have raids, strikes, which are mini raids, fractals which are mini dungeons, and what are called meta events. Giant map wide 50+ player events. That's the end game stuff
I'm far away but want to know.
Join the Teq world boss if you want in Sparkfly fen, its on in 3 hours from this message.
In game, type /wiki et to get a list of other events that are on timers.
Here's the schedule for all .. well scheduled meta events or world bosses.

Showing up a few minutes before they happen is usually enough, though there are a few which are somewhat unpopular or very difficult and might not always happen, especially without an LFG, so checkign the LFG can still help, especially if you're late.
There is a "contacts and lfg" menu along the top left. If you click on the LFG tab (Looking For Group, in case you are unfamiliar) you will see categories of nearly all content in the game. People can post that they are looking for people to join them in the category of whatever they are looking for, and anyone can see and join them from this menu. There is typically no automatic matchmaking for instanced content, although there are exceptions.
For example, if you wanted to join a low level fractal group, you would go to LFG-Fractals of the Mists-Initiate Scales 1-25, and join a group there (or create and advertiser your own group there). Hovering over these categories also gives little descriptions of them for a better understanding of what they are for.

That's sad.
