Each season will have unique rewards that then go into the Legacy Rewards tab if you miss them so you'll never not be able to get something you missed during an active season.
That and being free, already makes the Vault significantly better than a Battle Pass imo.
It's currently unknown how much if any of the general items will change over time.
Most of what you see in the vault now was available in the last season.
Like the Cheap Gold, Laurels and the Build Template stuff.
It just reset so we can buy more of them.
If you do all/most of your dailies, weekly's and special objectives you will easily have more than enough Astral Acclaim to buy everything in the Vault.
So much in fact you'll end up needing to spend it on gold or something just to make room for more Astral Acclaim coming in from new dailies and weeklies.
This is incredibly rewarding overall especially if you are a regular daily player.

I wouldn't call em Noobtraps tbh.. more just extra stuff once you've burned through all the good stuff.
That said there are a few I won't buy due to already having excess.. but that's not to say they are not useful to other players.
Obsidian Shards for example are useless to me as I have well over a thousand of them and rarely ever use them.
Tomes of Knowledge, same thing.. got hundreds of them clogging up my bank and I have thousands of spirit shards that I rarely use so im not going to waste them on more shards.
Also not going to waste the shards on gold either since I have tons of that atm and very little use for it.
What I do disagree with TP on is the Essence of Gold.
Yes it's overpriced at 1000 AA for sure, not questioning that.
But it is however a permanent account upgrade.. and on that alone I will gladly buy them on the grounds that it'll stack up over time.
As someone who plays a lot of alts and enjoys world completion I notice fairly often that I get money from randomly killing stuff.
It's not every kill but it's often enough that I notice silver coming in as part of my loot.
That's what the Essence of Gold increases, by a tiny margain with every one consumed.
So for someone who already has a lot of Gold Find, these are worth it imo.
The higher that stat goes the more those tiny pockets of money increase, and my gold find is already high enough to offset some casual waypointing about.
Just ran around killing stuff in Bjora Marches just to prove this too.
I have 225% Gold find just to clarify.
Got two pops of 2 silver 64 bronze and one pop of 3 silver 6 bronze.
That's 8 silver 34 bronze for just 5 minutes of running around killing random trash.
Not including the other loot I could sell, unidentified gear, crafting materials and junk which would easily put me over 10 silver if I sold it..
Gold Find is hardly the "useless" statistic that some people claim it is imo.
Sure it's all random when it pops and how much but for long time players like me, I'll get as much of it as I can get to make those random pops as big as possible.
Depends a lot on how much you play and what you do.
Even with buying the essences, hell buy everything even.. you'll still have so much AA that you can blow tons of it on Gold before the refresh comes in.
So I don't see buying perma account upgrades as a waste at all.
Specially if like me you have a stockpile of Gold and nothing really to spend it on atm.
Pretending you got 2.64s per kill (which you don't), you'd earn 3 copper per kill. Or 0.0003g. But you don't get gold per kill.
You really aren't getting ♥♥♥♥ by spending it on gold find. None of the account upgrades are of any value. That's why they exist: pretend progression.
The only one that had any use whatsoever was magic find, and that only had a use back when you could boost it to 1050% and open wads of lucky envelopes. And even then the difference was marginal...and they still decided to nerf it.
Horizontal progression guise!
It's not per kill, it's random loot chance like everything else.
And 2,64s is what I got from 2 different kills after my gold find was taken into account, and the 3rd money drop was over 3s.
I know this because it show's me on screen exactly how much money I got from a kill along with all the other loot I got.
Went back on a different character just to get you a screenshot too.
2 silver 60 bronze drop right there above my minimap.

That even dropped from a common fallen enemy, not a veteran.
If you're getting 3 copper then you're probably killing something that doesn't drop much or your gold find is extremely low, try a higher level zone.
My gold find is 5% below the absolute maximum it can currently be in game.. would be maximum if I could be bothered to achievement hunt like I used to.
MF only ever affected chance of quality, tbh I never cared much for it and never noticed it help all too much either.
The main one I really care for is Karma, some events award a lot of that and it's useful for many things.
I'd much rather have Karma essences than Gold but no matter.
They're all minor stats really, teeny tiny upgrades that alone do basically nothing but over long periods of time do stack up enough to make some difference.
Also just to note, i'm not arguing that the Essences are better value than the raw gold you can buy.. even said myself they're not.
What i'm specifically arguing with is the claims that the essences and the Gold Find stat they increase are "useless".
They're not useless, not to everyone.
But that's not to imply they're amazing either, they're not.. they're just there and the higher they are the better they contribute to some minor things like how much silver I can rack up over time while running around killing crap.
In reality you usually get nothing, or a crap bag, or a some other piece of consumable rubbish that needs clicking. But if you got a coin drop like that on every single kill...you'd need over 3,333 kills to get the same as the one gold reward; and the one gold costs 1/125th of the price of the Gold Find upgrade.
I never said it was per kill though, thought that was clear.
But it is frequent enough that I notice it, like maybe every 5-10 kills.. really depends on RNG like all loot.
But even if it was every drop I still wouldn't claim it better value than the raw gold you can buy.
I only take issue with claims that Gold Find is useless, it isn't to me as someone close to the current cap and plans to continue investing in it for the long term gains.
Those small pockets of silver coming in relatively frequently while im completing maps etc are enough to offset things like waypoint travel and listing fees on the trading post.
Small nickle and dime stuff that you deal with when general playing but don't really tend to notice stacking up unless you excessively use them.
Combined with junk selling and anything you sell on the TP while exploring it's helps minimise what goes out of your wallet which helps increase what overall comes in.
I do agree the 1000 AA cost is excessive for such a tiny account enhancement.
Though overall you get so much AA anyway if you do all your dailies, weeklies and specials that it's really not an issue tbh.
There is only 1 daily in the current pool that I choose not to do because it annoys me, that minidungeon on Shing Jea Island.. really can't stand doing that one so I ignore it when it comes up.
The only other AA I have missed since the vault was added was one Weekly from the last season, a Weekly Strike mission which I forgot about on the last day, lost 40 AA but that had no impact at all on my getting everything I wanted from the Vault (which was damn near everything in it with exception to Obsidian Shards)
Still had excessive amounts of AA before the refresh that I was spending it on Gold just to make room for more AA, and I still started the new Vault we have now with almost full AA.
We get so much Astral Acclaim from this system that blowing 2000 of it on 2% Gold Find per season really isn't a big deal.
Especially if raw Gold doesn't matter much to you because you don't have anything in particular you want to spend it on.. and you don't just blow gold for the sake of spending it which is exactly my position atm.
