Haven't played in at least half a decade, logged in and switched items while encumbered, swapped out my Juggernaut for a generic Greatsword and game decided to autosalvage my legendary, halp?

Title states. I havnen't played in long while so I decided to mess around with my inventory. My dumbass didn't account for encumbered and switched out my Juggernaut for another weapon and game decides to autosalvage it without any warning at all

A few years ago they made legendaries auto stored like materials. You can equip them without them being in your inventory, across any character. Click the item slot and it'll show in the left side.

That's my best guess too, the legendary wasn't salvaged it went into your armoury.

Check your Hero Pannel, Equipment section, chances are your legendary is there available to be equipped on any character.
