DLC too expensive

im interested in pvp and the fact that i have to buy ALL expansions because each one unlocks elite spec for pvp is absurd, at lease lower the price or something... also its wintersday make a discount so more people can buy currently its too expensive

DLC too expansive? well yes it is an expansion ofc it's expansive.

$29.99 regular price, not expensive, that's 2 months paying sub in some other mmorpg's. that's TWO expansions for $29.99, that would be $14 for each so it is cheap imo.
During sales you can buy the cheapest bundle the "HoT & PoF" bundle for $14.99 which is a big, excellent deal almost a steal and not long ago those expansions had a -75% during autumn sale and the price was $7.49 for the hot & pof expansions bundle, that's enough content for a very very long time which gives access to most elite specs.

That "fact" is blatantly wrong, with the HoT & PoF bundle is more than enough to PVP, you can even pvp with vanilla specs unless you looking for some kind of "owning, pwning get rekt" experience expecting that elite spec will give ya a superior total advantage, well it wont, here your skill > all. Also ah puch spends way too much time in this forum spreading lies and misinformation, don't pay attention to that guy he should be playing ESO but i guess the game isnt that good cuz instead he still here watching front page expecting someone to bump threads where he pretty much talking alone now.

p2w term has been abused to the point that anything is p2w, i expect some well known users to come here soon to furiously force their opinion and say that gw2 is p2w.

With that logic, i can say that baldurs gate 3 is a fighting game, or Resident evil an RPG game cuz, do you fight in BG3? yes? then its a fighting game, Do you upgrade items and gradually become stronger in resident evil games? yes? then it's an rpg. Assassins creed is a 3d platformer like Mario and a walk simulator, a hack & slash, stealth, RPG, action adventure sci-fi historic, fantasy visual novel right? imagine saying gw2 is p2w as much as neverwinter or lineage 2 which is totally laughable cuz in that game you need thousands of dollars to be competitive. (yes, seriously) but gw2 is p2w cuz you have the option the choice to buy a hero point with gems or ... go get it yourself for free investing some minutes. We could say the game has p2w elements but the game cant be defined by such term, specially when many other mmo's show us truly what is the true meaning of being P2W and this game is far from it. Word of advice, that fella Puch spreads lies and misinformation everyday, it's better to ignore him.

Just a lil example... funny how most people or pretty much no one is mentioning guild wars 2 why? cuz this game lacks the real most significant elements to be called p2w.

A real pay2win would be Lineage 2, even everquest 2, bdo or wow are more pay2win than GW2 considering how much you have to spend including expansions, subscriptions and exclusive items which grant more stats. You don't need the elite specs to be PvP competent.

The DLC's are hardly expensive either, in fact they're absurdly cheap compared to most other games.
2 of them, arguably the 2 most important ones when it comes to most of the most commonly used Elite Specs, even come bundled together these days.

I can sympathise if your financial situation ain't good, most people's isn't these days.
But Gw2 is definitely one of the best value for money games out there.
