Is it worth buying the Elder Dragon Saga complete editon for living world season ?
I am a new player. I was wondering if I need the living world seasons. Some says they can be bought in game with gems or ingame gold converted to gems. Should I buy the complete edition ? or just path of fire and heart of stone to try the game. If I like it, then I can buy the living world from in game shop ? I assume I can buy gems using steam wallet ? Thanks.

It's a BIG game. I'd play the Free portion first. If you like it, Path of Fire + Heart of Thorns.

If you are still playing, you can pick up the Living World from the in-game shop or End of Dragons. You'll be able to choose where you want to focus next.

The complete edition is cheaper, but are you actually going to make it through 10 years of content? It's more than you'd think.

yes you can buy living world season 2, season 3, 4 and icebrood saga aka season 5 with gems, and you can get gems by trading gold, the common currency, with patience and saving gold you can unlock the living world seasons one at a time. Its going to take some time but you can do so much while you save that gold for living world etc. Wait for someone else to confirm about purchasing gems ingame with steam wallet, it should be possible but i play with old gw2 account from official site which is not compatible with steam version (yes , if you play on steam with gw2 steam account you must buy the dlc here and viceversa, ppl with gw2 accounts from official site must buy dlc over there and NEVER on steam they are not compatible with each other, its dumb but thats how it is).

I recommend the Complete Edition if already feel enjoy the game enough to consider purchasing.

Why? Because exactly due to the Living World seasons, doing story in chronological order instantly after base game is SO nice and for many it gets confusing if go straight to HoT+PoF without the Seasons, that DO act as prologues and have actually cool and fun content that explain story start of HoT etc, without you feel like dropped in middle of story.

And then can spend all the gold from gem conversion to QoL stuff instead of gaming content, so to cool cosmetics, inventory slots, alltho Inventory slots easy and fast to get max, even guild members can give big 20 or 20+ slot bags for free etc then fill slots while playing. :)

And yes, yes you CAN buy Gems with Steam Wallet funds.

So it is possible to as you planned, but if you are not very tight on money, Complete Edition is totally worth it, and then spend gold to gems and possible Steam Wallet gets for cool other stuff. Since what comes to money, it's cheaper in full package when buys the Complete Editions, especially during sale. Now been REALLY good sales price.

Many new player gets confused with the individual LW season purchases and have regret not getting the Complete Edition. So i recommend it always, simple and cheaper in cost efficient way, even costs slightly "more" in one go so feels costlier in mind, as a one time purchase very good value, you also get couple level 80 boosts, some shared character slots etc, mount (Raptor) and all expansions/seasons where to get other mounts.

Just my opinion, you do your choice. Have fun and welcome to Guild Wars 2! :UDG_Heart:
