How is this game for casual coop players?
Want play this game with 3 my friends in coop. We only care about story quests. We like only pve content with interesting design choices and good lore writing. We give no ♥♥♥♥ for pvp. Is it mmo for us? How heavy grind we need for comfort play lore quests? Only MMOs that we enjoyed as far was secret world and destiny 2.

Designed for you. If you don't want to pvp, you can safely forget that it exists. Grinding is pretty much solely for cosmetic stuff. If you just kill mobs in one area forever, leveling will feel like a grind, because helping each other with story quests, exploring, and doing events is much higher xp. The group pve content is designed for 5 or 10 players, but 4 can get through all 5 man content if you coordinate and bring the right tools for specific encounters.

Perfect. You're basicly the target audience.
The lvl 1-80 story isn't that great. But the exploration is amazing, even more so with mounts. Feels like "Spyro the Dragon meets MMORPG".
The story after lvl 80 gets a lot better.

And about grind .. You only need an exotic lvl 80 armor to do the content (except for fractals).
That's like 10-20 g .. Very easy to get.
After that, grind is optional for convience and cosmetics.

There are 2 mounts that is kind of grindy though.
Griffon mount takes 250 g, but the content is easy and fast to do.
Skyscale mount is a big grind.
But you don't absolutely need them.

Basic exotics are karma cost in Orr. And since the grenth temple sells zerker, and that's freq the first meta everyone tries, it's perfect. They are all you need to go through all the open world content in the game.

oh yea true haha.
From that waypoint that was always contested xD
It's so long time since I had to get exotic gear.
No matter what, it's very easy to get :)

GW2 is THE game for coop gaming. There is a lot of stuff for playing with friends. You can even play your story content with friends if they like to get spoiled.Actually, the game is designed around coop gaming a lot lately.

The game is for you and your friends. It really is. I'm a solo player as my work schedule in the winter is 70-80 hrs a week. I just recently joined a guild for fractal/raid training. Everything about this game is casual focused...even the PvP. Now having said that, there are some serious hardcores playing too, especially in PvP and raids.

Has plenty of stuff in pve, pvp and the best bit to me is WvW, gets crazy fun when you make the right build and organise with either your friends, guild or commander.

Lol I remember pre-pandemic drunk commanders, always a good laugh. The last one I zerged with was like a drunken panda from WoW but he still got us through before he conked out. :winter2019joyfultearsdog:

I play on and off, and its just about perfect for someone who wants to play casual as much as hardcore. When I had free time like over semester break I play hardcore, end game content, high level ♥♥♥♥ like that, but during semesters I play casually for the new story content they put up, and they do put it up like every few months. I would even say the end game content can be casual, since you can run dungeons or fractals (another form of dungeons) with your mates, I even did it with incomplete party members on lower difficulty settings sometimes.

Perfect for you, my friend!
GW2 comes out with new story content every 3-4 months. While waiting for the next episode, you will have time to explore the new maps, achievements, instances, meta-events, do festivals etc
While I have tried every aspect of the game, I am most attracted to the stories & achievements in GW2 and have enjoyed every bit of it. Also, I played and enjoyed Secret World too! You will love GW2!
