Already one can see the GW2 fanboys are out en-mass saying everything is fine and that the game is even more populated than FFXIV. You really gotta be on some narcotic if you believe that.

I wouldn't call this game dead at all.
This. The game may not be dead but the quality is not there anymore. It is losing players as it's not as populated as it used to be and I guess Anet doesn't really have a choice but to give Steam cash in order to keep this sinking ship afloat. From server issues, to lackluster releases, to a balance that's all over the place every patch... it's not in a really good state. Unless you wanna buy skins, they design tons of those.
