Is the game dead to you should be the question. When you log in does the game feel lifeless and commit the unforgivable sin of not being fun. Guild Wars 2 did this for me circa 2015.

Obviously the game has a dedicated players base that spends money on it but so did Guild Wars 1 and they quickly jumped ship after EoTN to push a game that was more micro transaction friendly because they are owned by NCshit.

They need to just announce GW3 already because it is rumored to be in development with a release of 2024-25.

Yeah. That was my arguement. Ignore the numbers, how does it affect playability in terms of group play. That's a more worthwhile question. Not that numbers especially over time should be ignored. But that's more for the dev/publisher for if they need to get into gear. In terms of at the moment being "dead" or not, check playability.

I don't even know why you're so butthurt. GW1 is a good game and most of it is easily soloable. I'll always recommend that newcomers give the game a try.

It's not WoW numbers, but it was never trying to *be* WoW.

I would love to see where you're getting *your* numbers from, because anything I can find does not substantiate the claim that it's "dead".
