Slow Black Lion Trading Company
I just returned to playing the game after 2 years and having a blast with the game again.

One thing I did notice is that selling items through Black Lion Trading Company is so slow. It takes a few seconds for every posting to be processed and sometimes nothing even happens and you are still stuck on the sale screen.

Does this happen to anyone else? Is there a way to improve this? I don't remember it being this bad.

I've noticed this on a occasion as well, but it seems to come and go for me. Sometimes everything is really snappy and responsive, sometimes it'll hang for a few seconds.

They are currently in the process of updating the infrastructure that runs these things in game. There was an unforeseen outcome that caused some players to have crash issues so they rolled it back but they are still working on adding the update in. For the brief time it was active it was significantly more responsive for players who were not effected by crash issues.

The game uses poorly optimised third party software for probiding a web UI for things like the TP, gemstore, and guild upgrade interface. That's why they're slow.

They've changed that software a few times in the past, and the net result has always been terrible. The current one, CoherentUI, is slow, but at least it isn't constantly using massive amounts of resources like the one they had before. You can sometimes speed it up by opening your minimap, so your computer can free up the resources used for rendering the game, but it doesnt always have much effect.

They'll be switching to Chromium in the future. Expect crashes and resource hogging in exchange for TP performance.
