Legendary crafting, with quest or mystic forge?

I think i could use the gift items and a precursor for generation 1 legendaries in the mystic forge. I don't know if that's possible for gen 2 and up.

But the other way is doing the quest, and you need many recipes and look for quest items in many maps, what's the benefit of doing it this way compared to just using the mystic forge?

It's good to know that it's more efficient to craft it yourself

New players are far away from crafting anything like that for that matter.

They could get a legendary day 1 by doing gem>gold
If they put in some work towards it instead they could get 2 legendaries instead of 1 for that gold
Or they could just buy it for premium price to get it faster
Up to the individual
But good too know their options either way
I can understand why some would do both
It's also good for people selling crafted legendaries when people buy them full price

... Nvm the page shows how it looks, it changes depending how many trinkets u wearing atm.

Yeah it gets a bit too much imo
But at least you can hide the skin
Biggest advantage is to never have to get trinkets again on alts
You mostly can't change stats on ascended trinkets either
So very useful

Yes. Legendary Armory is shared between all characters.

Personally i'd go with collections over gambling in the forge unless you have no choice.

RNG rarely pays out for me in Gw2 so i've learned not to rely on it lol
To give an example, I used to run daily Tequatl for like 2 years straight.

Guess how many Tequatl Horde drops I got?

None.. not a single one.
Yet I know people who've done the event half as many times casually who have gotten around 7-10 drops XD
Hell one of my friends got one the first time he ever ran the event.

Sometimes I think the game hates me XD

Fair enough. I open rare unidentified equipment, take rare and exotic weapons and drop them into the forge. Granted it's usually a waste of time but over time I have gotten 7 or 8 precursors doing this.

Heres a tip from someone who owns almost 30 legendary wpns: Dont craft the precursor or use mystic forge. Simply buy it straight from TP. Use buy order to save ur gold.

back then you could see that one person could get two Ascended weapon drops, today its extrem rare that sameone got Ascended weapon drops, most of the time i get broken spone
