No, it wasn't debunked at all. Unless you mean debunked by "mmopopulation" which still counts Wildstar has 1 million active players...
Go ahead, link the "population site" once again. You and everyone else knows the only real population metric is steamcharts, which is why it's so hard to swallow it's doing so unpopular on steam. I understand the pain.
You can buy bag and bank space for little in game gold in ESO. Material stash? Lmao. Did you mean ESO put out new content dlc you have to pay for? That's how dlc works. So you'd rather not have any new content and stay in maintenance mode like in GW2? Gotcha.
That wasn't the point though. "Only valid measure of success" lol I never said that once. Success is a combination of playerbase + active development. It's funny how a much older game like LOTRO is getting more content in a year than GW2 got in 5 years.
GW2 has been in maintenance mode for years now and funny with all that "success" they just announced they can't even do a proper expansion or full living world anymore. Seems sus bud.
Not really, there were tons of false information and fake popularity campaigns started on reddit before I even came here. Including the infamous reddit campaign "come on guys lets all download steam and rate 5 stars lets goooo" which resulted in an embarrassing failure that was a 8k peak ;)
Exact same problems? Did ESO or LOTRO launch a new expansion then have a 12 month full year long content drought afterwards? Your usual go to argument is the "but monthly sub reee" doesn't work here either. So what's the answer? Gotta make up your mind here.
Here it is, without the bunny rabbit ears and the correct spelling; https://mmo-population.com/
GW1 is not dead either. See how that works?
That wasn't what was meant but you can keep repeating the "servers online game not dead" argument if you wish, I don't know who you are addressing with that though since no one here claimed that.
That means the real steam numbers are even lower than the current 3k since players found a way to artifically bolster the numbers xD
Flashback to that embarrassing reddit campaign "let's all download steam and make positive reviews lets gooo" > 8k peak
go to any of those boss events. you'll see how "dead" the game really is. if you can see past all the spell effects.
