Troll thread
Look who's talking.
how many times do people have to state this ! none who ever played the game in the past 10 years is linked to steam NONE doing so would wipe their whole account so ofc steam would NOT have alot of people playing on it
It is pointless and the sales happen more frequently on arena net client than on steam
True, but this isn't about Steam. It's about player population on the actual maps in the game.
Development wise? Yes it is dead. Lead game designer couldn't take it anymore and just left this sinked ship. In fact, game has been put on maintenance mode since February of last year. They managed to only release a half map with weak meta after 12 months and they will release the second half in which time EoD will be more than 15 months old. Yikes.
Population wise? It's very mediocre, 3k players on Steam. In game lfg is empty. Even in 2019 the lfg listings were bustling with dungeons, fractals, raids and everything else. Now you can't even fill a small group because of low playerbase.
No.

Shooting down your misinformation madness is tiresome but I think it takes less effort from me to do that than it takes from you to arrange sentencess into coherent information.
Since this isn't the first time you are trying to make a point out of his personal troubles, here's the thread of Tweets from him:

His name is Cameron Rich, by the way, and he was a Lead Systems Designer on GW2. Stress from too much work is only part of why he left, the word grieving somewhere in there should tell you that much. I wish him all the best.
But, once again, too much work doesn't really fit into the "game's dead" narrative, now does it?
Please keep up with the current events instead of linking an empty studio update.

Seems like anyone who still believes GW2 has a future is in a huge minority.
That "roadmap" for Q1 came when Q1 was almost over, they can't even push a simple roadmap in time because they got nothing to show for. Same thing for Q2, still no roadmap.
They have basically admitted putting the game in maintenance mode in that studio update. No more expansions, just tiny mediocre updates like Gyala Delves twice a year. And you will pay $25 for them. Yikes.
Will you also deny the lead system designer's departure? They don't even have a community manager or a ceo. They fired 25% of their workforce in EoD's one year anniversary after a 12 month long content drought and low profits/player numbers. 2022 was simply a disastrous year and 2023 is even worse.
What happened to "EoD most successful expansion ever"? Seems like it was the least successful.
What happened to "Steam launch will bring so many players", it only peaked at a very low 8k players and dropped down to 4k.
What happened to "Future is looking good, we've got many things planned after EoD!". Then they proceeded to immediately put the game in maintenance mode in 2022, not developing anything new.
2023 "yEaR oF gW2"
Seems sus.
This pretty much sums it up among other care for quality things just not being a thing along with the games living worlds being infested with bots.
