Living Worlds, and are they worth it?
I haven't done any yet, but are they fun/good content? I don't own them because I didn't get the complete edition.

If you are into the Story of the game, then yes. (Full Stop)

If you however just look for some more content, then only season 3, 4 and IBS are of great value. Simply, because those add a lot of content, that allows you to get some easy ascended rings, amuletes and trinkets.

The Icebrood Saga also adds strikes, which is a nice way to get some gold in, if you are not afraid of 10 people content.

There is also a Legendary trinket in Living world Season 3 and 4 (Vision and Aurora) to have a long term goal to achieve.

And if you own those 3, you can also get the Seasons of the Dragons Achievement, which grants a Legendary Amulet "Prismatic Champion's Regalia.

Some of the endgame maps of those seasons are also very good spots of getting more valuable Crafting ingredients as well.

All in all, it has a lot of content and some nice ways to get some ascended gear.

Lws3 is a must buy imo if you're after an easier time farming accended gear for your characters, along with some little fun stuff like the "tiny potion" - endless miniature potion.

Oh ok, thanks!

As a whole, the five seasons of Living World rival the amount of PvE content of the three expansions, combined, adding 15 otherwise inaccessible zones to the game and several very popular meta events. Also, LW is responsible for half of the story content of the game including some of the most important plot points, without which the narrative will make less of a sense. You know, if story in an MMO is something you care about, at all.

Adding to that, Season 4 gives you two more mounts (Roller Beetle and Skyscale) and some very useful mount masteries. Season 5 gives you the mastery for the United Legion Waystation that you may see players place down here and there, mainly for a very powerful CC utility. Some of the Strike Missions require progressing certain Season 5 masteries, too.

I'm sure others will add some more things, but to me, that's the gist. For me, the story content alone is worth it, but being a long time player, I'm the first to admit that I'm biased.

Edit: yeah, forgot the Legendary Trinkets as mentioned by the person above. (Sorry, I gave up on typing that name... :) Those are arguably the easiest to obtain Legendary items in the game.

They are totally worth it. They're required for the full story and also add many new maps to the game. As well as several new masteries, some new mounts, easier access to ascended trinkets and also allow you to craft some legendary trinkets. Though season 2 is by far the least worth it season, since it's the most expensive and the 2 maps it added are already part of the free base game, so they mostly provide new story and some items, and I guess Core Tyria mastery points (but no masteries). But I still would get it, just for the story and one legendary item.

Thank you everyone!

I would skip living world season 2 for the moment, the maps where the story takes places are free to access (silverwastes and dry top) and it's mostly just story instances and the posibility to craft "mawdrey II" ascended backpiece iirc

For meta, big events, i would pick LW4 maps. LW3 is good for ascended items (bitterfrost frontier berries farming & trade for ascended trinkets)
Icebrood saga has 3 great maps, grothmar valley, bjora marches and drizzlewood coast, all of them have events and meta in drizzlewood is long but gives good rewards, anyways imo in order i would

1- LW4
2- Some lw3 maps like bitterfrost 1st
3- icebrood saga

but this is just personal preference, probably not ideal if u aim to get profit and gear, lorewise well obviously the best choice is playing everything in order.

Just to add a little note, while I agree the LS seasons that add maps are worthwhile, the maps you get are not anywhere near the quality or scale of the non-LS maps, so don't get them expecting that. And the legendary trinkets do exist, but the process for them is absolutely miserable. The amulet is somewhat reasonable, but if you don't enjoy their generally painful story side achievements, just write off the other two.

Also, another value of LS seasons is you are basically buying mastery points.

LW did the same for the game , as TLJ did for star wars.
its total waste of time and money.

TLJ made $1.3 Billion at the box office... Also, Living World is much less polarizing than TLJ was.

TLJ also broke the 4 bio IP beyond repair. we can agree on the 2nd part, but that is only because so few actually tried it. LW is basically endgame farming maps with extra
annoyances. the same, that you get for free in most other mmos. they want you to grind, and they want you to pay for it. lol.

What is that "so few actually tried it" based on?
Also, in those other mmos where you apparently get similar content for free, what do you spend your money on?

The new DLC has less content than the living worlds but also more expensive. Who knew a simple marketing method of calling a small DLC "mini expansion" would trick so many people this easily? Brilliant. Meanwhile, player numbers are still at the bottom of the barrel.

Still making the same flawed argument.

$25 for less content than Icebrood Saga, people are lining up to buy it.
