game is free go find out yourself if its the type of game you are willing to play
The game is fun, the music is beautiful, the maps are very engaging and entertaining. There is plenty to do, and plenty of people playing it regularly.
I say yes, it's definitely worth the download. Give it a shot :)
The game is pretty much alive and it's depend on what you like and don't like about Guild Wars 1, I know some guys that a huge fan of GW1 but not a fan of GW2. 🤷🏻
my GW1 main was a warrior swordsman with psyic mesaric or whaver as secondry.
That's not something we can easily answer. However, I can mention some classes that are more difficult than others especially if you're new to the game. Engineer, Revenant and Elementalist are typically the most difficult classes. Maybe not to get into, but to master.
Don't let that stop you from trying them out though. My first ever character was an Elementalist and it was great fun. just try to look up some videos on classes you find interesting.
i waited T&L and was so disapointed and choose to return on gw2, years after!
it"s a complete game (pvp, pve, Mcm, raid, fractals etc etc, you need to be a no lifer to complete this game!)!
you like craft? there's! you like fashion, welcome!
and i'm just speaking about base game!
grab the extension at 50% when proposed!
now, about class, just try it all on lv 80 activities, if you like no brain characters, go necromancer , if you prefer brainbreaker, go ele or mesmer!
and it's really a MMO, you'll meet tons of ppl.
it's free! jump in
This is exactly the positivity we need more of in this forum.
So glad you're enjoying the game!
As on class to choose: GW2 doesn't have class combinations as in GW1. The elite specs you get with the expansions somehow try to fill that gap, as they can change the playstyle of the classes drastically.
In order to choose the right class for you: Try them out! Create a new character and jump into the PvP lobby as soon as you are done with the tutorial mission. There you get boosted to level 80 and have some training dummies to get a first impression on the skills and the look and feel of the classes. Just be aware that in the PvP section some skills work differently than in PvE, so don't get too much into the details. It is still good enough to understand what a class is about.
Oh yes you must definitely get this game, wait for steam summer sales in 5 days and get the "hot & pof" bundle, that's two expansions with so much content that you won't think about the 3rd expansion till next steam sale, hec im sure u wont finish even half of the content by the time the game goes on sale again.
As others already pointed out, there's too much toxicity around but don't be fooled, pretty much all the bad things are an exaggeration to try making this game look terrible and all that info has been debunked multiple times, anyways you won't regret getting the expansions this is a great game.
For a massive multipler online game, you need a massive amount of players.
Its mention without referencing GW2's history and details of its presence on Steam may falsely lead you to believe that the game only has as many players as that number.
In fact, the overwhelming majority of the community play this game off-Steam and I can assure you, that's much more than 2000.
