Hmm, perhaps via Steam/Anet CS.
But, even if you bought only those expansions, you still can get the LW seasons from gem store, they are still on Sale there btw, so the combined price tag would be pretty much same as with the Complete edition with the LW seasons included, with this current sale for sure.
So most likely easier/faster to just buy some gems (i buy with Steam wallet) and buy the LW seasons that are sale from the Gem store in game. :) Because money spent would be the same anyways. The LW seasons are on the account upgrade section of the gem store if i remember correctly, or just use the search bar and put season on it. Yes, have to click them all one by one to buy tho.
But CS prolly takes a few days to sort it out if go with the refund path.
Edit: Now that you bought the other expansions, you did start the 4 days timer towards full account (unlocks full use of market place and so on), so having to refund who knows might start that from beginning then.. was slight annoyance for me when i went from free to full account when bought all expansions, had to wait that 4 days before could use all functions. Wish that part was faster haha.
So in your case, i'd personally just buy all the LW seasons from Gem store, those gets to add in your collection then permanently for all characters, since it's account wide one-time purchase. :)
it is bait and switch.
What are you even talking about?
The LW Seasons and Expansions are absolutely one of the most enjoyable gaming content i've done in years so far.
The whole ecosystem is great imo, that can pick different ways to how get Ascended and Legendary gears for example, via wvw/pvp or combine different source currencies, it's brilliant and the actual content is fun too, on top of a fun core combat system, and can pick everyday from so many different things on what do and what to focus, but still often sidetracks to other things, since so much things going on always. ^^
Go play something else if something else feels better for you maybe?
No point spending time and effort post spamming about it, if the game is not made just for you. Since news flash to some people: you are not the center of the universe and people do not make games for one persons taste. I love the game and so do the people in the game that i talk with, and think i see myself as the target audience, a person who values the things that are done very right in this game.
I suggest you just try games if it works for you, and if not, go play something else, that simple for me. :) No one will change how the game is for you. It's like in general you cannot change other people to your own personal preference also. And getting bitter and then post spamming about it on forums and twitter does nothing, except waste your own time and energy.
And speaking about time and energy, time for me to go play the game right now.
Great words, totally agree :)
In addition, spare us from defining words as criticism. (translated)
I actually liked the small increase in difficulty after core game. Keeps things interesting and gives some use for Elite Specs that you get, that actually makes builds stronger, so the player gets stronger. If only player would get stronger, but game would stay the same, then it would be like ESO overland, where every enemies die to light attack click in one or 2 hits and game is so easy that falls asleep.
I prefer this way that is GW2, Heart of Thorns has fun Heroic Points challenges even when solo, feels fun to do them. And yes, the map is very 3d, i get lost sometimes and was nice to unlock glider, before that i died to fall damage few times haha. But that is actual game play, where human learns and adapts, you know - gets better and gets a dopamine from clearing boss or map and chapter in the expansion, it feels good because it has some challenge in it. Not too much imo. Just enough to feel good. :)
There are plenty of games as options, with different difficulties. Pick one that suits your needs. I think it would be selfish to try change games that already been certain way for many years. Since you know majority of the current players enjoy them just like that. You know what i am talking about, right? :)
If you start changing things in large scale on a game old and traditional as GW2, it would lose possibly a large chunk of it's current players. They would (i would) go play something else that gives them the same vibe that had before the change. I wanna keep GW2 as this rare gem of a MMO that it is, not wanna change it. Not even on those parts that i don't really do. Because i know other people do and love. Everything is not about me or any one or few players, gotta let others enjoy their content as they like it.
So the question is, do you feel your individual need is more important than those of the large player base that enjoys the game as it is currently? Be honest with this answer.
To me the core game was like long tutorial, same as ARR in FF14. And i was happily surprised there was increased challenge after it. :) In FF14 the overland content is super easy and simple. I love GW2 overland content exactly because i actually also feel useful if play some semi-support build and can go help someone doing some champions and so on, can see the relief in them when they get some support and heals from me. ^^ Feels good to work together and help others.
In any case, hope you have a good day and have fun no matter what game you play!
awesome this is the kind of positivy this place needs, someone having so much fun with the game while others well...
Once again, well said, plus i think it's funny that people complains about HoT difficulty or higher requirements i mean you are supposed to be a lvl 80 with at least exotic gear and a decent build and have had finished central tyria maps and the personal initial story including the silverwastes and dry top before trying HoT, of course it's not mandatoy but seems like there's no common sense.
