Equally vague answer: Guild Wars 2.
ESO has better world and housing. That's about it IMO.
Both are worth playing for their stories alone.
But theyre both vastly different as well.
So I dont think one can say with out being biased towards which ever one they say.
I think both are equally as good over all. ESOs overworld is so braindead though, so it ends up making me give the same score as Gw2. Otherwise id find eso better overall if the overworld had challenge to it, and wasnt just brain dead.
Gw2 though you level very fast. Ive played maybe 10 hours on my character, literally halfway done with leveling. I see peopel who can get max level in like that amount of time, or faster. So if you wanna just get to end game fast then this game is for you.
Both games I like though, because the writing is good, and makes leveling more fun compared to almost all mmorpgs.
Gw2 puts more effort in its self to make leveling more fun though, the quest are just more fun to do and I mean side quest not main.
Overall GW2 looks better imho.
Obvious answer: GW2.
and their monetization outright theft.
I was there on beta, got booted from the forum for asking a Dev a too critical question and will never return.
ESO if you want a more story based elder scroll experience.
simple as that.
