Servers for Australians

Heya, is there any particular server that has a large aussie/oce player base? Looking for servers that are quite active on WvW to play on that will actually have people on at peak aussie times. Also if there's any active guilds out there that could use another let me know :)

Hello! I am not going to take a guess at other servers, but I know for certain that DR has a Guild that is very active during OCX hours due to the leader being a New Zealander.

Server: Devona's Rest
Guild: In Your Dreams [FOXY]
Leader: Fox.4573
Hours: NA prime time, and OCX. Main squad run time 4-5 hours starting 9pm EDT (1pm AEDT) every day.

They've multiple squad leaders, and I often see somebody tagging up after Foxy tags down. They also don't force certain builds to run with them.

EDIT: You can also try https://wvwstats.com/timezones and sort the OCX tab, however, it doesn't detail if it's the host server or the link that's OCX heavy.

hey Sorry i'm late to reply here on this, as its usually a question asked on the arena net forums or reddit. I am a aussie and played this game on and off for 11 years. quick tldr: Sea of Sorrows at launch was the unofficial ( official) OCE(AUNZ) server. so to this day has alot of oce players. however. JQ ( Jade quarry) took up a lot of asian guilds in around 2015 to one of the top 3 servers for a few years. This has died down. JQ had a large OCE presence remnants from this. (like me) and the Guild GONE with the rear, has kinda filled that OCE void in JQ. SoS has some occasional tags but no definitive guilds. With the WvW beta coming on jan 24th id suggest just getting your but into a OCE guild. which can be difficult looking across multiple servers. your best bet is to join GONE and play with them in the WvW to then see what other guilds are running at those times and look from there. This is important as in the beta server allegiance wont matter i believe and it will be alliance based (guilds in a match up)

usually valve mods would say the next:
"This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion." But due christmas etc only most terrible offenses are being moderated as ive seen in other forums (obvious agressive profanity).
Not saying that qvot needs moderation just saying that mods activity is low and slow lately but i understand the obvious reasons why (christmas)

Sadly many aussie players (i have many friends from NZ, australia etc) get terrible ping above 300 during big events, but not always, they have managed to enjoy n play with ping above 200 still it would be nice if they could improve their gaming experience.
That being said there are plenty in gw2, that's a nice thing.

As soon as my ping hits 100 it becomes awful, and 300 is unplayable.
