why are zones emty?
Hi, so i tried this mmo with tons of active players by google search, but where they are? Game feels like ghost town. Zones are emty, maybe 3-5 players, capital cities are emty. Its really not mmo like game. Can someone explain why Gw 2 is like single player game?

You may be in a empty shard. If you see the icon of a door on bottom right of screen, it will take you to same zone but populated shard.

For MMO "empty starting zones" is normal. You may use that [wiki.guildwars2.com] to find some events.
Most active maps is for 80.

Funny, because I started playing again last week and I've seen a ton of other players, every day.

I've seen plenty in city's and where there are instances where there are only a few players the game eventually asks if you want to be moved to a more populated shard.

/storm in a tea cup.

maybe you are playing lowest settings? and name plates are hidden? :D
in gw2 there are two settings for it. Basically you can hide other players from your screen for performance.

something must be wrong because gw2 is very pop. mmo

The game is full of players for me. Capitals have hundreds of players, even though all the lvl 80 players are in the hubs like Eye of the North or Arborstone
Try to play in locations that are in the daily quests. You will see tons of people, try to follow the events in the wiki, just google gw2 event timers. They have waypoint shortcuts just go where it points you will see a lot of people. Not many people leveling through maps because end game is just huge. And also every race has its own path of leveling.

I stop playing because the grind is getting boring. Seriously, the first 1000 hours is fun, then after that, it's the same meta over and over and over again until a new Living World story drops or a new Expansion is available.

Grind for what? I don't remember having to grind for things in GW2. Unless it is a legendary weapon, but I never bothered with those.

since the game in question is 10 years old by now , you might want to try the expansion zones instead of the starter ones

lmao. map currencies, having to the same boring heart 50 times over and over again. strike mission coins. do 100 boring strikes = get one armor piece. grind for gold to buy gems, heh. at least that way the game gets 0$ from me, and frankly they don't deserve a cent with how mediocre they made this game over the years.

What is so special about that armour? Does the set have stats you need for your build?
I mean, if it is just for a cosmetic reason, then that is not a necessary grind.

I've never repeated heart missions for items that were needed for my build. Events yes for sa specific armour set, but not hearts.
