Considering he's talking about a new player, 6 yo, that is probably just going to do some events and level up a char. I don't think a metabattle build is what he's after.

Maybe, maybe not. Either way, setting up a low intensity build for a 6 year old is basically what they were asking for. MetaBattle is a great place to get some ideas as to how to set one of those builds up.

What I mean is that to make a build you need to something to make a build. A new player that start at lv 1 won't have anything to make a build, no skill, no stuff, no normal specializations. And the base game if you're new is fairly long before hitting 80. That's the first wall they'll hit when starting. Knowing which specs work toegether when they have no access to it is going to be irrelevant.

If the 6 year old is the type to not get into games and won't play long enough to ding 80, sure. The reason I'm sharing those LI builds is to give them an idea of what to use and work towards. Because if they keep playing, they will eventually unlock those things and eventually be at the point where they can fully utilize LI builds. They'll have gear selection choices to make across the entire leveling process and they'll unlock all of their core traits and utilities as they play, BUILDING up their character. Profession selection only plays a part is how complex and effective a character will be. It's good to have materials to reference when specifically building towards something easy and enjoyable to play like OP will be doing for the 6 year old in question.

minion master necromancer. You can just stand around, slap your keyboard at random, and kill everything while never dodging anything and tanking all damage.
You can give yourself so much self healing that you pretty much cannot take damage. It's a bit of an ultimate noob build.

I think overall guardian is the best class in game. Great utility, decent damage and survivability
