I can clearly recall having to build a plant person to be able to use one of the melee classes, instead of the smaller race I wanted to play. Was a greatsword weilder( no I don't recall the names, it's been far too long)

Revenant is the only profession (class) that has any restriction, whatsoever, which is that you have to own the first expansion, Heart of Thorns. Other than that, any race, any profession.
It is always possible I've gotten it mixed up with another older MMO, I did dabble in a lot of them around that time.
Was this maybe the one with the large gaps between the story quests? Go grind for 5 levels kind of gaps?
Now I'm just trying to remember what this was, lol so many old MMOs trying for a revival at the moment.
I am sure you are confusing it with another mmo.
The game is not here for a "revival" but more like to get more peeps into it.
