Not able to see party members in game

We signed up for Steam GW a few days ago, and we all chose US servers. Since we did this at different times, the three of us wound up choosing different servers. For explanations sake... UserA, UserB, UserC...

When UserA invites UserB and UserC to a party, UserA and UserB can see each other, both on the map (bright blue dots) and in game. Both UserA and UserB can see a faded blue dot on the map for UserC, but can not see UserC in game.

The same happens when UserB invites UserA and UserC to a party. UserA and UserB still can not successfully fully see UserC.

The same happens when UserC invites UserA and UserB to a party. UserA and UserB still can not successfully fully see UserC.

We are all at the same point in the story, we just created our HUMAN characters, and have not even clicked on the first NPC telling us to go to the Inn.

We have also tried this after completing the intro mission, when you are dropped in Queensdale, and go through the small cut scene.

We have attempted to use the right click profile button and choose Jump to Queensdale, but it only appears between UserA and UserB.... UserC does not get that option, and UserA and UserB do not get that option when targeting UserC.

Any ideas?!?!

So user c seems to be seperate of the other 2 users? hmmm ... well, my first guess would usually be different server regions, which seems unlikely when you said you all went for NA.
Usually the join queensdale button should work if you are all on the same map, aka queensdale. It often happens that different players land on different map instances, but usually that's what the join map instance button is for .... idk, maybe triple check if you really all are on the NA megaserver?

Thank you for your quick response. I will use the /IP function in the game to double check. Other than that, is there a way to see whether the server he is on is in EU or NA? The character select login screen does not show the region.

When you click on the world selection button at the bottom left on the character selection screen you usually should have the list of all servers, with a drop down menu so you can see the servers of just one or all server regions.
Unless maybe the button is greyed out if you are free2play since they can't change the server that easily .... then I guess you would have to look up your server name and look it up in a list.

were UserA and UserB using up-to-date versions of the game? because that's also been an issue with partying up.

Thank you for your question. We checked the game versions, and all of the versions were identical.

if it's for pve then the chances are you were in different instances, choose one of you and have the other 2 right click that person in the top left party list and select join in instance. The only reason you won't be able to is if the instance is full. In that case chose another member and the other 2 repeat the steps "join in instance"

the only time you need for now to be on the same server / server group is for WvW otherwise as long as you are on the same map you should be able to start the storyline and all members will get a pop up asking if they wish to join you
