Any easy way to get a Vision Crystal quickly?

Wonder as I was in the process of collecting the items needed for Knight of the Thorn when I realized I would need a Vision Crystal... but I have no way to craft one since I have zero crafting skills. Is there an easy way to get one that doesn't involve crafting? Or do I absolutely need to craft it?

They are account bound. The daily chest where you get the option for legendary, ascended or exotic crafting gives them in the ascended crafting bag usually. If you plan on making ascended armor eventually you may want to start leveling crafting. It often takes one plus a bunch of lesser vision crystals to make a set.

Yeah, "Chest of Ascended Crafting Materials" from the "Chest of Loyalty", available every 28 login days, has one, and would be the simplest method to get one without crafting.

Looks like a got a little over two weeks for that. I could get a collection for an ascended weapon chest by then, but it would probably be a waste considering I have everything except the Vision Crystal.

How much gold does it take to go from 1 to 500 for a crafting discipline? I have like 120~ gold atm, but I'm not even in Path of Fire yet(doing LW S3) and from what I understand mounts cost gold there.

If you use the guide it won't take too long & if you do the armor type of your favorite class you have access to armor. Getting the other materials can be a challenge though, each brick is 100 of base material. You will need 500 bloodstone dust, dragonite & emp frags. If you have season 3 those mats are pretty easy though. The auger stone you get for a few spirit shards at the mystic forge lady.

I just looked at what you are doing & unless you want the skin or achievement it may be easier to just craft a similar weapon or put effort towards ascended weapons. I did that achievement later & it was easy because I had crafting up & mats needed. Iirc the result is rare but crafting an exotic can be fairly easy.

Oh I have literally everything already except the Vision Crystal for Knight of the Thorn. Found all the motes and fragments pretty quickly to reconstruct Caladbolg. Just need the Vision Crystal and I can do the instanced quests and get the Caladbolg Orchida for my Reaper.

if you want a fast way, buy Memory Boxes from Gem Store and exchange 6 Black Lion Commemorarive Sprockets for 1 vision crystal
