New Player question, please help if you can!
This is for the GW2 Vets out there. Which would you recmd for a new player from Scourge, Mirage and Mechanist (I think)? Which one is easiest to play and feels strong the whole way through? Also, which one would be most wanted in groups? Thank you in advance if you provide a detailed answer :)

mecanist is currently OP. But my best guest would be to take some time to play the three of them and look which one you prefer.

Personnally I used to be a fan of elementalist. But now i'm really into Necromancer.
My best bet is. Do what you like. playing the meta sure will allow you to be powerful. but finding the gameplay you want is the best way to start.

Hope you have fun and if you have any question there will always be a guild wars player ready to answer. Most of Us love seeing new faces.

Thanks for the info. Will go with Necro since I want things to be fun and easy the whole way.

I would recommend Reaper or Mirage personally. Of course those are my two mains, so I'm partial. I still haven't found a way to enjoy Scourge yet...

I have a Scourge and a Reaper and a Mirage. Necro's are almost kill-proof, if we're going to be honest and Reaper is lots of fun. Scourge isn't quite the same and takes some learning to get right. Mesmers are about the most difficult to play, and the Mirage Elite isn't a great deal different. Just my opinion, having all of the above mentioned Elites.

I do play all of them and while I do have fun with them . For new people mech should be easy to get up and running . It can buff up deal ok dmg its less complex then other engi specs and can be set up to do a lot of cool stuff .

But in the end you might want to try them all out and see which one you like . If you enter the pvp lobby you can test out the builds and use a vide set of gear on any of the targets Stationary golems , moving targets even npcs that represent other classes .

Low intensity builds with max 20 clicks a minute and up to 30-40k dps parse.

Low intensity builds which can work well in the open world.

You should check out some of the builds posted to MightyTeapot.
P.S the lawnmower build where you don't even have to press buttons looks hilarious
