Newbie here. How do I get to Tarnished Coast?

Can anyone tell me how I can reach the Tarnished Coast from Metrica Province or Caledon Forest? Map doesn't show me where the entrance/exits are.

The Tarnished Coast is the lore region those zones are in, which might be what you're seeing on the world map - there isn't a specific zone called 'Tarnished Coast'.

Where ever you want to go, check GW2 Wiki , with maps and all descriptions you might need. You can even go to Wiki in game, just press "enter" to start writing in the chat box, then write "/wiki" (no quotes), space once, then type item/npc name/dungeon....or whatever you're seeking information about.

Maybe we'll get to explore that area one day but for now, yes.

There are many areas labelled on the map that are just for lore/world building reasons. Actual maps you can enter are always denoted by a level range (ie 15-25, 80), often not a name (unless you hover over the level).

Aren't some of those areas explored in Guild Wars 1? They just keep them on the map for map continuity.
