Buying living world on steam
I bought both the expansion DLCs not knowing that there's like 2 mounts hidden behind the living world stuff. Is there a way to get the $50 living world DLC without buying the$100 bundle?

When ever I click on the individual item on the store page it just brings me to the front page of steam.

If there isn't, which individual living world seasons would i need to get both the mounts? (beetle and skyscale i think they are)

thanks to anyone willing to help

Yes in the in-game store you can buy singular episodes or whole seasons without having to buy that bundle.

If you're good at gold grinding you can turn those into gems and buy them that way too.

Additional note on living world chapters. While old chapters are for sale for gems in the gems shop. new ones are always free when they launch and you log in to play at that time. You don't even have to play them, just get in game during the window of that living world chapter and you get it free forever. Kind of a reward for staying active in the game.

What currently is coming out is actually a reworking of the first living world chapter. (the original of the first living world chapter was a flawed "do it now, then its gone forever" kind of thing) So once you finish getting your character through your personal story, the story continues in living world chapter 1. (I dunno if all of LW1 will be free or just the chapter thats live currently) Living world chapter 1 happens on the games core maps. Same maps free players have access to. But if you already bought the games expansions, you shouldnt have to worry on if you can play LW chapters if you have them unlocked.

If you want to experience the whole story without having huge jumps in the story you probably want to get all of the living world seasons. But like The first one already said, you can just buy them for gems ingame that you got with gold, it just might take a while. Most of the seasons also add new maps, so there really is a lot of content in those livign world seasons.

I haven't tried, but usually steam bundles auto remove things you already bought and still give you the discount on the remaining. So try checking the page and say add to cart and see if it'll charge you the $20 only.

The devs have stated that Season One is going to be permanently free, so it's only Season Two onwards that people need to buy.

I would say, in terms of sheer value for money, it's 100% worth buying gems for Seasons 3 and 4, because you easily get as much story/map content per season as you do in an expansion, and actually for a lower price.

Season 2 is still good, and worth having so that you know the lore in between it and HoT (there's a lot of context you lose otherwise if you're playing the story), but if you don't care about playing the story in order, it offers much less in terms of replayability, so you can farm gold for the gems over time. And obviously, if you were to play in order, there's plenty of time to decide if you're still interested in Season 5/IceBrood Saga, which is somewhere between S2 and S3 in terms of the amount of content.

FYI, I got all the LW seasons for free.
They give them away for free for a week. All you have to do is own any expansion and log in during that specific week that that season is free. If you don't you miss out.
As for when the drops are...
No one knows. That's why you should at least log in once a week.
