NB! BLISH HUD - GW2 Onscreen Tactical Overlay

To help out map exploration, achievements hunting, rescources gathering etc. some special helpful programs have been developed - GW2 Onscreen Tactical Overlays.

One of them is Blish HUD - A modern Guild Wars 2 overlay with powerful module support.

Some Quality of Life features this program provides on your ingame screen:

1) Easy world exploration and pathing:

a) displays all map exploration routes for fast map exploration
b) displays all collectibles for map specific achievements hunting
c) displays gathering routes for map currency nodes and chests

NB! This video provides also some downloadbale marker packs, but i personally prefer Tekkit ALL-IN-ONE MARKER PACK, which has already all needed map regions, collectibles etc markers all together in 1 package (no need to install any other, because they will overlap each other unless disabled)

Thanks for the post. I was just getting ready to start a thread asking about the different UI addons. I already installed Blish but hadn't configured any of it and someone in game chat recommended Tekkit which I assumed was an alternative to Blish but this cleared it up.

It's probably just me but having pathing added seems a bit cheaty and removes the sense of actual exploration of the maps imo

No you dont get banned by using this!
Because these overlays do not modify any game files!
Also same applies to another onscreen overlay TACO.

There are a few overlay addons that you can use and are "basically greenlit" by arenanet. BlishHUD and TACO are two of them. ArcDPS (DPS meter) is another one, and WARP (roleplaying flags) is the last one I know of.

One of the Pathing Module addons is one that draws the task areas for every Heart in the game. Even though I am now more than familiar with how the game operates when it comes to hearts, I still like to be able to see them when I'm map/world completing.

I suppose it could be especially helpful to new players, since the task areas are extremely varied in shapes and sizes.

I just started using blish hud a couple days ago, and yes
You can link your API so it automatically knows what you are missing to complete
It will automatically switch when you go to a new zone etc

It also has much more stuff than just pathing
The event timer is also nice to have in-game without having to leave

There's an item search
So you can search for items across bank and characters
Very useful if you use alt characters to store stuff
