You get 2 gold for completing 3 of the daily tasks, some of which are ridiculously easy like going to a specified area and simply watch any vista or gather 4 material nodes.

Playing any PvP match will normally get you 1-2 daily tasks completed also, and some WvW tasks only ask you to conquer a single flag, meaning you have to kill 1 veteran NPC guard.

Usually you will not need more than 10-15 mins to complete 3 dailies and get 2 gold every day. Also when you play a PvP match you can save the PvP reward flasks for days when there is a daily task to get a PvP reward and simply drink 1 or 2 of those flasks and finish that specific daily within seconds.

While fully geared veterans easily CAN make more money per time than doing dailies, doing dailies is very chill and relaxed and super easy especially for beginners.

As a new player you will be lucky to make 2-6 Gold a day at lvl 80 with a lot of effort, all these people are speaking from the perspective of experienced Veterans playing the game for years that's not even remotely feasible for someone starting the game now.

If you want something from the shop save yourself from burnout and pay for it with rl moneys srsly.
