Nothing is or ever was spiteful, you refuse to acknowledge valid solutions that are legitimate and circumvent your poor country decisions that are not anyone to blame but them.
It's hardly pity if you can legitimately make a fair trade to someone. Nobody is losing much in the end for such a trade, you save yourself much of the pain of having to pay an exorbitant amount of money by literally paying for the expansion with in-game currency to someone fairly that could use the gems.
Likewise, your loss for the refusal of a simple solution. Gifting would be the best outcome but that's not what I'm implying exclusively which seems to be what you think.
The End of Dragons is fun content, but it occupies less than 20% of what I do in game
Are you able to buy the End of Dragons with gems? If so, I am sure people would give you gold and then you could exchange it for gems.
It's just a drop in the bucket, but I would give you 200 gold. I am sure we could fund it for you within 2 weeks. Maybe less.
It's very unfair.
We're trying to figure out a work around.
I can only think of 2 ways:
1. You need to get a product key code from a third party. I used to use kinguin.net and never had an issue. Some people find it questionable. It looks like it sells the key in EUROs, so maybe that avoids the additional tax applied on U.S. dollars. There may be other third party vendors that are valid.
2. If you join an active guild, with an active discord, then they will pitch in to help you. I've been part of guilds that outright bought legendaries financed by gems for it's members.
That said, no game is worth your food and roof expenses.
why not play without the End of Dragons Expansion for the time being .
Could they not buy the game, give you the code and you owe them back for a game you can pay for in ARS for the equivalent amount? It would be delayed but if you're buddies they would likely not mind waiting.
And to everyone else
Thanks to everyone trying to pitch in gold or stuff but no mates, I love this community and I know you would pitch in in a heartbeat, that's not the idea. I won't play on my old account because now that buying from Anet is not an option in pesos (It was before, that's why I bought the other ones), it would just be playing on a doomed account. I will wait for a sale, and join y'all back someday. there's bound to be either a merger or a deep sale someday. Or maybe they will bring back a way to pay with pesos and the whole thing is solved
Didn't know I could buy expansions with gems tho, that's cool.
cheers mates.
if you have an paypal account, or an international credit card, you can buy directly from anet, here in Brazil no one sells the expansions, i had to buy them all in dollars directly
I explain why as a mention and you still take offense all along, someone being critical to assess reasons to situations is not spiteful in the slightest, especially when they're just future tense elaborations to comprehend.
You're still acting out of your mind like I'm trying to attack you, you can stop assuming, you have solution available to you, the only thing you'll truly be called from me is lazy. Have fun with your endeavour.
It's the opposite way, he could make a fair trade to anyone he trusts such as a friend to pay in the equivalent Gold of Gems, that'd be like 600-800 Gold or so for 30$.
