GW2 does not have region lock. GW2 has two datacenters (NA and EU) and players can play from all over the world (with a few countries excluded because of sanctions etc) on both. At least with the stand-alone GW2 client.
Does Steam have some form of region lock? ... I dont know.
Too late
And yeah it is pittyful behaviour of the OP just screaming and yelling about something most on Steam won't even know anything about because it happened almost a decade ago.
True, forgot about this as I pretty much boycotted anything they got their hands on after CoH.
How is it pitiful to hold these huge corporate entities responsible for their behaviour. I am just passing on words of warning for those who don't know better. But if you want to shrug it off as me "screaming and yelling" then you do you.
I'm sure ArenaNet is great, just as Cryptic were... but I'm not going to be giving NCsoft another penny.
Good you told us!
that game was not optimized at all, it only has its self to blame,
I mean, whatever helps you sleep at night. I'm sure GW2 is great but people should be aware of NCsoft's previous treatment of their customers. To say otherwise is anti-consumer.
Not for me to say but I'm sure there were many who enjoyed it.
