How is GW2 compared to other MMORPGs?
Black Desert for example

Different in pretty much every way.

Name something, it'll be different.

I personally think it's way better than anything that has come out of Korea. Gw2 mostly respects your time and actually tries to be fun instead of being a second job.

GW2 is personally one of the best MMO's I played. Reached cap back on release in 2012 and played for a good while. Dropped it after a bit, then I came back months ago and have been rehooked all over again.

Give it a go, jump into the free content, join a guild, and adventure a bit. Try more than one class and race too, they are all different, something is bound to catch your interest.

You travel without the Black Spirit...

One of the best mmos on the market.

BDO doesn't respect your time. Your gears become obsolete with every major expansion. It's the opposite for GW2.

Well, it's one of the only AAA MMOs on the market that is almost entirely based on horizontal progression. And what that means is that all content is always relevant, never replaced, never removed and will actively reward you for playing said content. It's also the kind of game that caps and normalizes your stats in lower level zones, which means that lower level zones aren't just used to level up and then are completely useless when you reach max level. Those low level zones are just as important as max level zones because again, EVERYTHING is always relevant and will actively reward you for playing. Which basically means that this game has vastly more content than any other game on the market because there aren't countless zones that are completely worthless outside of leveling or questing. :lunar2019piginablanket:

Exactly. I LOVE IT FOR THAT. I have no regreats. Play on day 1. I'm glad it's on steam now.

Exactly, you can legit as a level 80, go back to the starter zones and earn the same XP and help beginners fight the crazy bandit bosses and everyone wins equally.

I didn't expect much, not from a 2012 title, but I was so incredibly wrong. This game is fantastic.

I've played GW2 off and on since launch and it's easily one of the prettiest MMOs out there. Nice, bright colors, vaguely cartoony, anime-looking art style and, thanks to said art style, it doesn't look dated. Kind of reminds me of the artwork in Pathfinder RPG books.

I've warmed up to stylized, usually cartoony, art in video games. It lets the games run well on lower-end hardware and doesn't trigger the Uncanny Valley when it tries to look too real.

You start with leveling a first character to max level doing a great PvE solo storyline.
If you also do all sightseeing and unlocking waypoints, you will already have played 200+ hours. (if you play as intended and don't get yourself speedboosted...)

After all this you have the choice:
-Do you PvE level up another character with another class.
-Do you start with the expansions. (400+ hours gameplay if only coöp when really needed).
-Do you start a vast Coöp/raid/PvP endgame.

With all due respect, you're forgetting some of the most important choices such as playing "Fashion Wars 2" and "role playing" with your fellow Charr furries. :lunar2019piginablanket:

(I'm joking. Probably... Maybe?)

Well, 'the fellow Charr furries' is a bit over the top :P :snaggletooth:
